Donald Trump is as clueless on Islamic terror as Hillary Clinton
After the shooting in Orlando, and the attempted murders in Los Angeles, Donald Trump supporters seemed oddly happy. Trump himself acknowledged the congratulatory spirit of the Trump Train, making political hay of the mass murder of homosexuals.
It was as disgusting as the left wingers who seek to turn every murder into a Reichstag fire to burn down the Bill of Rights. What the two have in common is that their stated views are incapable of handling the problem of domestic Islamic terrorism.
“Let’s be clear: Islam is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”

Hillary Clinton of course has chosen to see no evil with respect to Islam. It’s the Religion of Peace talk, on steroids: “Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.” That goes beyond a declaration that Islam doesn’t preach terrorism. To claim that terrorism has nothing to do with Islam, is fantasy.
Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism, I don’t want congrats, I want toughness & vigilance. We must be smart!

However Donald Trump… While he’s beating his chest about being “right on radical Islamic terrorism”, he’s not actually said anything that would address the problem of home-grown Islamic State fighters. He’s been doing this a while, too: he spends so much cheering himself for “speaking the truth,” that he never actually proposes what to do about Islam.
“Many many Muslims are wonderful people,” he hastens to add. But his one concrete proposal we’ve managed to pin to him, despite his rhetorical shiftiness, is a “total ban” on Islamists entering the United States. However that policy, much like the Democrats’ gun control policies, would not have stopped the Orlando attack.
Hillary Clinton wants to blame guns. Donald Trump wants to blame immigrants. Neither one is right. It’s the Islamic ideology that is the problem, one that has been handed down since Mahomet himself sought to conquer Mecca, Medina, and the entire Arabian Peninsula. It is an ideology of killing and of conquest.
Sealing the border won’t stop the ideology from getting in. Banning guns won’t stop the ideology from getting in. Open eyes and active investigations are all we’ve got to stop the ideologues from attacking. A lazy blaming of the usual scapegoats, as Clinton and Trump keep doing, won’t make us any safer!
