Republican RINOs funding abortions and not funding border wall with spending bill
Congressman Jim Jordan , a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus, appeared on CNN’s New Day with host Chris Cuomo on Monday and said that the spending bill put forth by House GOP leadership doesn’t keep promises Republicans made to voters.
Republicans, who now have majorities in the House and Senate, as well as having a Republican in the White House, aren’t passing a full budget, but a “continuing resolution” to temporarily keep the government from partially shutting down. And Congressman Jordan says the spending bill funds things like the Planned Parenthood abortion mills and unlawful sanctuary cities while not funding the border wall — all Republican priorities.
“Money goes to Planned Parenthood as you said, money continues to go to sanctuary cities but no money for the border wall,” Rep. Jordan announced. “I think you’re going to see a lot of conservatives be against this plan this week,” he predicted.
“Why did we last fall do a short-term spending bill if we weren’t going to actually fight for the things we told the voters we were going to fight for?” Jordan asked rhetorically. “So, I mean, if this is the deal we’re going to get, it seems to me we should have just did the bill for the whole year. But we specifically held the vote for — we did a short-term spending bill for this time so that when Republicans control the government we could actually do the things we campaigned on. This bill doesn’t seem to do that.”
Jordan also noted that the Republicans didn’t campaign on giving the Democrats more money to grow government in return for increases in the military budget, which he claims the current spending arrangement does.
So not a lot has changed. Establishment RINOs in the GOP campaign as conservatives to get elected but will not fight for the issues they promised the voters — they either lack in principles, courage or both. Even leftist host Chris Cuomo gets that GOP leadership — Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell — haven’t been fighting on the spending front. It’s almost like it’s 2005 and George W. Bush is president and John Boehner is Speaker of the House.
I’m reminded of a joke by the great humorist and author P.J. O’Rourke, who said:
“The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn’t work and then they get elected and prove it.”

Do you realize to build a wall requires eminent domain to take land owned by people near the border.
Once we do this should we build one with Canada too.
Do you have any idea how expensive it is and most don’t support it.
