Foremost I wish to introduce myself. I will not be careless and mention my RL name, but I am Croat as well as a number of people on this planet, however small it may be in comparison to other “great” nations. Whole my life I lived in Croatia, with occasional trips outside of it (vacation, etc.). I truly love my country, and 2 tell u the truth, I am not big on globalization and dissipation of national identity. Now, an average Joe would ask: “What the hell it has to do with this subject?”
It is actually so very simple. To entire world, and all the ppl in it, I happily pronounce:
MY PARENTS DIDN’T RAISE A HATER!
Loving my country isn’t something that means I am born as a Nazi or some similar creature. I do not practice hate toward any nation or any group of ppl. As a true Christian, I can only feel sorrow, and pray for poor souls that do hate.
Were it not 4 my brother, I would never find about this threads, and were it not 4 my conscience, I would never replied 2 it. I am appalled by ignorance and uncivilized ideas in most of the statements, and unfortunately I must admit they for most part come from pen of Serbs. The fact is that Austrian-Hungarian monarchy LET them take refuge in Kordun, when they were RUNNING AWAY from Turks. That was some 300 years ago. And ofc it was conditioned by acceptance of Austrian crown and Croatian rule in the region. After 300 years, hospitality is repaid with slaughter. That land that fed u and gave life for numerous generations is a part of Croatia, so U CAN’T have it, EVER. U had a chance to be a part of our nation, while u were unable to deal with Turks of that time in ur own. Since u denounced that offer, u may not keep what was bestowed upon arrival of ur ancestors in MY country. In the year 1991 u had to choose between this country and 1 u left 300 years ago. Every individual made their choice, and now they will bare consequences of such a decision. Soon, very soon, in a “global village” this conversation will be pointless, just as a radical Serb consorting with Jewish ppl (I am a Christian after all, and for me it symbolizes a wolf making friends with the shepherds). I live in hope that Serbian extremists, Jewish extremists and even my brethren Croats that are extremists will diminish and fade away in that brave new world, so that globalization may have at the very least 1 good consequence. I do realize that by no means those extremists that exist today, whichever faction they belong, do represent whole, or even majority of the population. I also realize that such extremists are mostly IGNORANT and UNEDUCATED which makes them easy to manipulate. Should I ever be a politician, I will. It is just 2 easy to miss it.
