I wouldn't mind that.  Us Askenazim tend to be too wimpy.  I look forward to throwing spears through the traitors like happened in the good old Biblical days.  Maybe if I go up to a Sephardi guy, give him a spear and get him really mad I'd see that.   Tzvi, you volunteer for me?  :P

No problem, just find me an excape route. I would have to kill hundreds maybe thousands in order to be willing to go to jail. Dont want to go without causing real damage.

I listened to the first 10 minutes but then I got busy, Ill listen to it eventually, but Rabbi Mansours classes are great, although he does some Ashkenazim bashing. (But all in a joking manner)

I didn`t want to start a new thread for this rabbi vs missionary debate I listened to, because I don`t want to offend christians, and I agree this is not for the general board.

A christian site has included a debate between Rabbi Jacob Immanuel Shochet, and their missionary.
Rabbi JI Schochet is awesome - he is logical, has the right attitude to the missionary. He is a logical philosopher and a scholar. They only put it on their christian site because missionaries don`t use logic, and because the rabbi is in a bad mood and the missionary is talking very softly and trying to be loving. You should save the debate on your computers incase it gets taken down. It is an mp3

and if you want to see a picture of rabbi schochet, incase you hear his serious tone, and you want to see how seirous this guy is!

More debates here:

I am not very much interested in listening to debates (even with islam).  Let us pray to God and ask Him to reveal Himself to us instead of analyzing Biblical verses with our minds.

That is the same link.

And just a correction, Jews have an oral tradition, which we believe is divine and not the result of analysing biblical verses with one`s mind. It is not commentary.

--
basically, if you go to that link i went to, those 3 debates are on that site. Anybody who was interested would see that. The webpage is the same infact.

There are 3 debates there.. The reason I only mentioned one, was because the other 2 were not relevant.
The one with rabbi tovia singer was just a friendly chat, not a debate.

And the one with rabbi blumofe, was interesting and useful, but although it was very much a debate. The methodology of the debate was flawed. As you see, near the end of the debate.  Rabbi Blumofe was showing that jesus was not the messiah that jews were waiting for, and thus, he lists many, many, reasons to say so. But some of them use oral tradition, because jews accept oral tradition.  He was not trying to prove that jesus was not the messiah. So some of his reasons would have been that jesus was not the messiah, others, that he was not hte messiah the jews were waiting for.  This is only discovered AFTER the debate , by a questioner (largely because the christian missionary - dr brown - was so poor at responding!!!)

The debate with Rabby Shochet was methodologically good.. and was a proper debate rather than a conversation. And it was exciting - moreso listening to rabbi schochet.   The missionary, Dr Brown was rather boring, and using soft words,  rather than logical argument..  Rabbi Schochet won completely...

But the reason why I didn`t post the others, was that they were flawed.    For reasons mentioned.

By the way. Dr Brown is well respected amongst christians.. I saw he was recommended by Sam Shamoun, a heavily anti-semitic wicked animal, probably arab, who works on the answering-islam.org team, he is their spokesman in audio debates, and he is a major guy on their site.  And I say that Sam Shamoun is a very evil anti-semite, based on his behaviour I witnessed in a paltalk chat
