Kiwi the Bird

A small fightless bird from New Zealand very rare, very shy, and very funny looking, but a true New Zealander.

It has a spirit and the will to live and fight for its home. Its a cute little fella  ;)

Hunted and almost wiped out by the moaris, even today they still hunt the bird.



It lays an egg one third of its own body weight.



A baby one  :)

I never knew that bird existed, I hope it's not on the verge of extinction from the moaris. :'(

Yeah it was the fruit came from China. And since they looked like the bird it got named that way.

Sheep were not native to New Zealand, like the possums, cockatoos, Moari's and rats. All introduced.

What are the symbals of white NZ? I've never seen any.

At least at Aussie events we have stockmen, swagmen & the Man from Snowy River in his moleskins & RM Williams boots and Akubra hat. We don't do abbo cooberies at the football or the Commonwealth games.
