BS"D

Note To All Posters: Only one post per person is permitted. Please make it a single, short question.

Chaim would love to answer all of your great questions but (unfortunately due to the number of questions and time constraints), if there is more than one short question, it will have to be moved to The Future Ask JTF Section. We apologize for this inconvenience and only wish that every person has a chance to be heard on the show.

Or course, comments not directed to Chaim will be moved into a separate thread under The General Discussion.

Chaim has stated that only one short question or comment per poster will be answered. Please remember that even with these rules, the program is over 2 hours long every week! If you want to post a longer question, unfortunately, Chaim may or may not be able to answer it in it's entirety. In this case, you may copy and paste parts of your question for the following week.

Thank you for your kindness and respect regarding these rules.

Chodesh Tov,

You said gilgul neshamot is an emunat tfella. Someone in a yeshiva in The Old City of Jerusalem told me that people can be reincarnated into cows or other food sources so a tikkun can be done. The tikkun is that the cow has to be kosherly shechted and then eaten by a descendant of the person whose spirit went into the cow. It can be in other food sources too. The descendants that eat that cow have to say the bracha on the food for the tikkun to take place. Hinduism thinks becoming a cow is a reward so they don't eat cows. Jews davka eat the cow because that is part of the tikkun.

I'm posting this for Yacov Menashe Ben Rachamim.

I was told that The Ramchal is the reincarnation of Rabbi Akiva. The Ramchal died at a young age. He studied Torah his whole life and died the age Rabbi Akiva only started learning Torah. They are buried next to each other in Tiberias.

Kabbalah is the fourth layer of Torah after The Written Torah, The Talmud, and The Midrash. Do you agree? It is part one of the three parts of The Oral Torah revealed on Mount Sinai. Why do you say The Zohar was written less than one thousand years ago? Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai wrote it. You yourself agreed that he is the major rabbi of The Zohar. It is Secular professors and Bible critics that made up that it was written less than a thousand years ago. Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai revealed it on Lag B'Omer the day he died. Before it was revealed on Mount Sinai but remained hidden to the select few. Even before that, Jacob learned Kabbalah at The Yeshiva of Shem and Ever which was located in The Cave of Shem and Ever in Tzfat on his way to Haran. It was revealed even to Adam. Little by little it was revealed more and more until Mount Sinai. Then Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai revealed it to the general Torah scholars. Perhaps he passed it orally and it was only WRITTEN less than 1,000 years ago. Rabbi Yitzhak Luria was revealed even more of The Kabbalah through Eliyahu HaNavi. Eliyahu HaNavi can reveal things to us now instead of G-d because we don't have prophesy. So Eliyahu reveals things to people instead of G-d revealing to a prophet. The Arizal (Rav Luria) made it more widely available and Hassidut made it available to the common man. Before it was limited to married Jewish men older than 40. I learned this all in a shiur at Bar-Ilan University taught by a student of Rabbi Carelbach who does outreach classes on Israeli university campuses for American students. I attended his shiurim at Hebrew University and Bar-Ilan University. At Hebrew University he did a Parashat HaShavua class and at Bar-Ilan, he did various classes and gave out free pizza. His Hebrew University classes were part of a Beit Midrash after Monday Night Pizza Talk at the university synagogue. He is a rabbi and lives on the Carelbach Moshav Mevo Modi'in.

Greetings Chaim. I've noticed that ultra-left feminists have latched onto Lilith as some kind of role model. What place does Lilith have in Jewish culture, and was she a real person? I can't seem to find a lot of concrete information on her by doing searches, and I'm not even sure who or what she was supposed to be.

  Shalom Chaim,

Recently,  I listened to the Ask JTF Broadcast from back on January 3,  2007  (  program a  ) .    On that program,   you focused on the Hebrew Language Wikipedia site not providing JTF with an article that was satisfactory.         With their plan on totally eliminating an article about JTF from it's site.

My question is,   what transpired after January 3,  2007,   regarding the JTF article/   Hebrew Language Wikipedia situation?        Thanks.

Dear Chaim,

It seems to me that Menachem Begin was a great Jewish leader and a well-meaning and righteous one. Even so, it seems to me, he made some major mistakes. The surrender of the Sinai was probably his worst mistake. Secondly, after the Jews in Israel had won in 1948, I think he should not have deferred to Weizmann and Ben Gurion, but rather should have taken control himself, if this was possible. What are your thoughts concerning this? It seems that even heroes lose their way so often.

Once again thanks for all your answers.

Hi Chaim,

Will there be rich and poor people in the world when the Messiah comes?
Turkey must get out of NATO. NATO must get out of Kosovo-Serbia. Croats must get out of Crajina. All muslims must get out of Christian and Jewish land. Turks must get out of Cyprus. Turks must get out of "Istanbul". "Palestinians" must get out of Israel. Israel must become independent from USA.

Shalom Chaim,

What's your explanation as to why the American public has moved so much to the anti-Israel side over the past couple years? The candidate who vocally claimed to be pro-Israel, Mike Huckabee (whether he meant it or not), lost miserably. Opinion polls show majorities of Americans demanding Mideast "peace", leaders of both parties are boldly insisting upon negotiations favorable to Arabs, and not only are the three remaining candidates for president the most anti-Israel of the pool, but they are all trying to outdo each other in their anti-Zionism.

Just four years ago, even John Kerry (ys"vz) was pretending to support Israel very hard. Why has our national mood so changed in four years that voters demand anti-Israel policies like Euronazis do?

G-d bless you. Chaimfan

Chaim,
Please, please, please drop everything for a while and concentrate on finding a bride.  I saw a documentary on American Jews in their 40s trying to find young Jewish brides in Iran and the girls were laughing at them because they were too "old.". Before another day passes do all you can to meet someone(through connections in Israel or associates in America, or just going out on your own). Young women today are so damn picky. You either have to look like an actor or have tons of money. Please Chaim find someone who can have children before it's too late. Months turn into years, year into decades.

Shalom Chaim

Joseph was a victim of his brothers. So was Able with Cain; Issac with Ishmael; and Jacob with Esau.

All younger siblings...

I understand that in some families, adult siblings will have their differences and even quarral.  There are certain times that the younger brother should back down to keep the peace.  Is defending the honor of his parents one of those things he should also back down from?  A specific example of this is when the older brother is dating an evil Jewess/or shiksa and giving his parents heartache and yelling at them and telling them to mind their own business.  When the parents express this distress to the younger brother, should he intervene on their behalf and even defend his parents' honor (even if it means defaming his older brother) or should he stay out of it and not be his brother's keeper, so to speak? I'm convinced that in this case, he should defend his parent's honor protect his brother's soul.  Others will say, keeping the peace between the brothers is more important and certainly, defaming him is an absolute no-no in a situation like this.

Thank you for your help

Dr. Dan

Dear Chaim,

It seems to me that not only is the feckless Israeli government utterly unable and unwilling to fight our Arab enemies in Gaza, Judea, and Samaria, but this self-hating, far-leftist government is also fully committed to setting up a terrorist state in the heart of Israel, while brutally persecuting any Jews who dare to try to defend themselves from Arab terrorist murderers. The government made a point of mourning the death of the terrorist who massacred eight martyrs at the Mercaz Harav Yeshiva, by refusing to dismantle the mourning shrine erected by the Arab butcher's family. I think it's fair to say that the government is beyond redemption. Given this, how likely is civil war or a coup in Israel? The Jews of the Warsaw ghetto had to first kill the Jewish ghetto police before they could fight the Nazis. Aren't we in the exact same situation now? Thank you very much.

G-d Bless.

Daniel

Hello Chaim,
What do you think of the war of Nagorno Karabakh that resulted in 800.000 Azeri Muslims leaving Armenia a nation of 3 million and about 400.000 Armenians leaving Azerbaijan?
Recently when Azeri foreign ministers demanded in the UN that Armenia withdraw its troops and surrender Nagorno Karabakh, Serbia was in favor of the vote :( on the other hand recently Armenian president said that Armenia might recognize this illegal state Kosovo :(
What can I, as a fervent pro-Serb Armenian, do to bring both communities together in light of this common enemy. Given that most Serb people are orthodox Christian like Armenians, do you think something can be done to strengthen the relationship between both peoples and politicians.
Thanks you.

Dear Chaim, do you think the chaos that is occurring in South Africa and Zimbabwe (raping, murdering, homicide etc)  will eventually spread into neighboring countries such as Zambia, Botswana, Swaziland, and Namibia or has it already occurred?

Dear Reb Chaim,

What should our response be – that’s those not in a position of military or political power - when Jews are brutally murdered in Israel, by Arab Muslim terrorists. Should it be speaking out, learning Torah in memory, Tehillim and crying. I feel like killing some Muslim Nazis in my neighborhood! Thanks and Shalom -- Zev. P.S.: I’m sure you will be delighted, as mentioned on last week’s show that The Ask Yesha has started with a thread for posters to ask questions, which will be answered in an audio mp3 download format, first show Monday 7 April/2 Nissan, thanks for mentioning it for the last fortnight. -Zev

Dear Chaim,

As a student in a Canadian university, I have noticed that there is a noticeable body of Iranian (pretty sure they're Persian muslim) students in sciences and physics and other high-end sciences.  Our liberal rules for foreign students result in irresponsibility, which allows students in regardless of their background.  Only g-d knows what they want to do with this information, whether it be religious, national, or criminal.  What are your thoughts on this development, and is it too late to prevent us from teaching our own enemies the science they can't figure out themselves?

Dear Chaim Ben Pessach,

I hope you are doing fine.
We from the Serbian section have a subject which could be also discussed on your new video. During the today's hard circumstances when the EU/US are separating our holy province from our motherland Serbia we need your support.

If the Albanians who are the national minority in Serbia have the "right" to establish their own state on the territory of Republic of Serbia.

What about the Serbian minority in Croatia which is today in exile?
The Croatian state had before the 1990 a double sovereignty, a Serbian and a Croatian. Croatia was identical to Belgium also a state of two nations.

According to the Yugoslav constitution the Serbs of the Socialist Republic of Croatia, which was established by the anti fascist movement after WW2,
were the state-building and constitutional nation of Croatia!

Why is the EU and the US recognizing an state of a national minority on Serbian holy soil and in the same time ignoring the fact that the Serbs had the status of the state-building nation in Croatia?

Enclosed An Important Fact!

The Socialist Republic of Croatia was until 1990 a republic with a divided double sovereignty – Croatian and Serbian. Due to an immeasurable Serbian contribution to the liberating anti-fascist movement, in the Second ZAVNOH Congress of October 1943, a resolution was passed, which says, among other things: "There is no, there cannot be and there will not be a Croatia in which the Serbs could not be guaranteed full equality and full rights";

Chaim Ben Pessach and the whole JTF thank you for your support.

Dear chaim islam has become the worlds largest religion your thoughts

The Vatican acknowledged that Islam has surpassed Roman Catholicism as the world's largest religion.

Vittorio Formenti, who compiles the Vatican's yearbook, said that Roman Catholics account for 17.4% of the world population - a stable percentage - while Muslims are on the rise at 19.2%.

Mr Formenti, in comments to Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, said the data referred to 2006.

Shalom Chaim:

I'm glad you remembered my uncle, Rabbi Brian Kent. You did not really answer my question last time, which was, are you interested in meeting for lunch or something when I come to Queens for his wedding on May 23?

BY THE WAY: You're right that all Jews should be armed! I just bought an SKS semi-automatic rifle with a 30 round magazine and a scope at a gun show. Jews should not be afraid to go to gun shows! The stereotype that gun shows are full of neo-Nazis and other antisemitic types is totally false.

Hello Dear Chaim,

I hope all is going quite well for you.  This week I was wondering if during all the years that you have served as a great spokesman for the Jewish people if you have ever had the opportunity to actually debate our enemies and put them in their place.  Specifically, have you ever had the chance to engage in formal debates with Nazis, Muslim Nazis, or evil blacks, and make their arguments look as ridiculous as they are, using your great wit and intelligence.  If some specific instances come to mind, please elaborate.  If not, perhaps you would like to share another one of your great recent affirmative action stories.  Be well and all the best.   O0 O0 O0

Why aren't some conservatives religious and righteous as much as others? It seems there are so many fake conservative labels like Cultural conservatism, Neoconservatism, Paleoconservatism, Libertarianism and so forth. JTF should establish a true righteous Kahanist conservative party.

Shalom Chaim and Thank you as always for your hard work and answering my questions.

Between the Neo-conservatives such as Bill Kristol and Paul Wolfowitz and the Paleo-conservatives such as Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul, who are the lesser of two evils?

In addition I agree fully with what JTFfan stated earlier above, we need do be able to ignore both of these groups and form our own true Party that answers to no secular ideology, but only to Baruch HaShem!
