So tell us Dexter how you would have said "service" in Biblical Hebrew? And if he meant slaves he would have said "Haim Yehiyu L'chem L'avadim".

Shirut, LeSharet:

Rambam says
means: "Accepted the taxes and not slavery, or accepted slavery and not texes, we don't listen to tham".

Maybe Rambam meant slavery as a proverb but I would like someone that know Hebrew clearly to tell me.
OK, I take my words partly back because I suspect the Rambam means their slavery will be that they will have no political rights and they will low their heads infornt of us etc'. What do you think ?

Not a foreign land we took and not with foreign possession but a land that belong to our ancestors that was occupied without a trial. And when we had the opportunity, we took our land back.

Rabbi Kahane writes about it. ( Their a Chapter). But he writes "Tribute and Servitude"
The Academy of Elijah taught, whoever studies the laws (of the Torah) every day, (he) is guaranteed to have a share in the World to Come.

My zeal incenses me, for my adversaries have forgotten Your words.

I am young and despised; I have not forgotten Your precepts.

Ah - I haven't read Or Hara'ayon yet (there aren't many places you can find it, at least in the US).  Although a friend of mine has it, so I guess I could just borrow it from him.  I suppose I'll have to give him back his copy of Why Be Jewish first...  ;D
