(IsraelNN.com) U.S. President George W. Bush is facing death threats by terrorists when he arrives in Israel Wednesday for a three-day visit to the region.
A 29-year-old California convert to Islam known as “Azzam the American” called for Muslims to kill the U.S. president during his upcoming visit to the Middle East in a video posted on the internet Sunday.
The Western representative of the international Al-Qaeda terrorist organization, Adam Yahiye Gadahn declared in a videotape entitled “An Invitation to Reflection and Repentance” that the Mujahedeen (Islamist fighters in a jihad, or holy war) are waiting for Bush.

Gadahn urged followers of Islam “in Muslim Palestine” to welcome Bush to the region “not with flowers and applause, but with bombs and car bombs.” Although he spoke in English the majority of the time, Gadahn made the specific call to jihad in Arabic.
With a histrionic flourish, Gadahn was shown tearing up his American passport and renounced his U.S. citizenship in protest of the imprisonment of convicted terrorist Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman and the American Taliban terrorist John Walker Lindh.
The White House was unmoved by the threat. Al-Qaeda offers nothing but death and violence," said Gordon Johndroe, White House national security spokesman. "I would note that this guy is wanted for treason and does not need his passport," he added.
The American Al-Qaeda operative is on the FBI’s Most Wanted list and was indicted in 2006 on charges of treason and offering material support for terrorism. He is the first American to be charged with treason since World War II.
Gadahn is the son of a famous 60’s Jewish rock musician, psychedelic star Phil Pearlman, who converted to Christianity's so-called "Messianic Judaism." The terrorist’s father created his own ministry, complete with a booking schedule for appearances listed on the internet.
The elder Pearlman is described on his own website as a “worship leader, recording artist and former Las Vegas entertainer” who invites the reader to “Sit back, relax and enjoy your journey through ‘Phil Pearlman Ministries’ website.”
Gadahn is currently believed to be hiding in Pakistan, where the Al-Qaeda terrorist organization assassinated opposition leader Benazir Bhutto and murdered 20 others in a shooting and suicide bombing attack less than two weeks ago.
