(IsraelNN.com) Israeli Arab MK Mohammed Barakeh, in response to claims by Avigdor Lieberman that Israeli Arabs are more of a threat to Israel than the PLO, accused the Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel Our Home) head of being "afflicted with a severe case of racist AIDS."
In his resignation announcement to press Wednesday morning, Lieberman said "You know what will happen the day after we withdraw to the 1967 borders? Israeli Arabs will request Palestinian citizenship, and will continue to receive social security payments from the State of Israel." The former Strategic Affairs Minister said "They don't hide this - they say quite clearly that they will demand autonomy in the Galilee and the Negev, and will never recognize Israel as a Jewish state." He stressed that he does support a two-state solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
