King David Museum Opens In Jerusalem's Old City

(IsraelNN.com) The King David Museum and Genealogy Center, a new interactive museum dedicated to the life, reign, and legacy of Israel's second biblical king, has opened its doors in the heart of Jerusalem's Old City.

Featuring tour guides in Biblical dress, and displays of ancient slings, oil lamps, and anointing jars, the museum's three floors take the visitor on a virtual and archaeological tour of King David's life.  Guests can consult staff members at the museum's genealogy department to determine if they are descendants of Israel's most beloved king.  At the end of the tour, visitors can browse the gift shop, which contains biblical-era clothing, Psalms, and other items.

The King David Museum is located on Tiferet Yisrael, the main pedestrian street in the Old City's Jewish Quarter, and is accessible through their website, www.davidicdynasty.org
