13 Nissan, 5768

Chag Sameach,

The Staff of The JTF Forum wishes everyone a Chag Pesach Sameach. Next year in Jerusalem. May we be able to be able to bring The Korban Pesach (Paschal Offering) on The Temple Mount.

We will close for Shabbat Kodesh at 6:40 P.M. Friday Night, and re-open at 9:01 P.M. Monday Night for the termination of the second day of Yom Tov Pesach.

This Shabbat is Shabbat HaGadol which commemorates the day we took the lambs (It was 10 Nissan that year.) for The Korban Pesach and the Egyptians going into civil war over the first born wanting to let The Jews go to avoid their death in The First Plague. The Torah reading is the regular Torah reading of Acharei Mot but there is a special Haftarah from the end of Malachi, the last book of The Prophets.

Passover starts at the end of Shabbat, after dark on Saturday Night. The seder must begin after Shabbat is over. The first two days are days of rest where work is prohibited similar to Shabbat except cooking is permitted.

Yacov Menashe Ben Rachamim,
Chief Administrator.
