Obama lied during the interview with Chris Wallace
« on: April 28, 2008, 06:02:28 AM »
He tried to downplay his relationship with William Ayers.  He admits that they served on a board together but doesn't admit that Ayers held a fund-raiser for him when he ran for the state senate.

Wallace brought up the "gang of 14" in regard to the Senate confirmation hearings; and how if Obama was so "bi-partisan" as he claims, why hasn't he been involved in any well-known "bi-partisan" issues like the "gang of 14" which was a bi-partisan group of senators that worked to get confirmation of judges.

And he was basically asked how he could claim to be bi-partisan and a "unifier" if he almost always takes the positions of the left--and their lobbying groups--on issues.

He claimed that at times, he's angered the teachers union.  However, when he was in the state senate, all of his votes supported the positions that the teachers union supported.  He also says that he thinks the private sector could have good ideas involving "cap and trade"--to try and reduce greenhouse gas emissions-- but when he was in the state senate, he always supported the positions of unions and never supported businesses on any issues.

And he was waffling while discussing spending and taxes.
