New English Subtitles - rabbi Kook vs. rabbi Kahane
« on: May 28, 2008, 10:53:50 AM »
I've prepared English subs to this video as one of you requested. The video quality is unfortunately reduced due to technical difficulties- Google Video wouldn't allow uploading of the original .flv format, while At Liveleak I don't know how to upload the subs which I've prepared.

Here's the link:

This is fantastic work. I wish all of Chaims videos had the english subtitles but I know that it requires so much work. Thanks so much Zelhar for doing this and helping us all out.

I love when you inserted "dangerous kikes" in the subtitles. I was laughing so hard. It made my day.

This is definitely a good video, very interesting subject. It takes forever to make the subs unfortunately. Anyone knows if it how to embed  it on a post?

I don't think we can so far...

I asked Schlomo (the admin) to install an add-on to the forum that would enable video (sharing sites) embedding.

He told me that he would check with the other admins. That was just before the crash of last week...

this is remarkable!  Chaim is even better in Hebrew!!!

If you're talking about embedding videos as being a useful thing..

I would say that there is a fine alternative.

You just link to it.  There is no point in embedding videos.

Make posts that provide a link to a video, and a translation.

Eventually, there may create a section for those posts, move them into the section, have people working on putting the translation into each frame of the videos, e.t.c.

In addition..  If you've actually done a translation, it's a bit silly to say that the translation was relatively quick to do, but people can't see it until it has been inserted into each frame of the video, and that's the really time-consuming bit.     No harm in posting the translation.. Of course if anybody is working on inserting it into a video. Then say so, so that people don't end up duplicating the same work.

Thank you very much Zelhar.  O0

This is great.  O0 O0 O0

I have learned a few words in Hebrew. In addition to that Chaim's speech is very good accentuated. I can relate Hebrew words to the subtitle.  :)

May be it is even better not to embed JTF videos cause we want people to rate and comment them for better exposure.

We should keep track of translations both those which are done and those in progress. Someone posted a requested for DanBenNoah to translate and I offered mine and asked Dan if he wasn't working on that vid already. I din't say it was quick to do I said quite the opposite...

This video is really a good one, how Chaim speaks with holly fury about The socialist traitorous Jews with 'Jewish spark'....

Is Samaria not the same word in Hebrew?

Why is it in Hebrew Pesha and in English Yesha?

Is Samaria not the same word in Hebrew?

I think it's Shomron

as in yehudah and shomron  - judea and samaria

azza is gaza I think.

Why is it in Hebrew Pesha and in English Yesha?

It's not Pesha in Hebrew, Chaim just says that because Pesha means crime and it rhymes with Yesha, so it's like saying the "Crime Council."  It's the same reason we say ZooTube instead of YouTube.  I usually make a note of this in my translations to explain it, but it probably wouldn't work that well on subtitles to put in explanations now that I think about it.

I understand.  :)

Yes the Muslimes say that they prefer an Israeli gouvernment over a Muzzie gouvernment as long they can live from the welfare money of the hard working Israeli people.

But this doesn't make them to loyal citizens. They will slaughter the goose if they will get the change.

They are real quranimals. Never forget this.

I know this "schizo" behaviour from Europe. Taking the welfare money and voting or even the membership in leftist parties doesn't prevent their known actions against their bread-earners.

This Muslimes are totally nuts. They don't notice the reality, like the Nazis. They live in their own delusional-world of their ideology. No matter what reality is or what    sanity and reason tells them.

With such people nobody can live together.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And what for evil things the leftists said against Rabbi Kahane. Pfui.

He only saw the reality and told the people about it.

Looking good, zelhar!  Is there a way to get these videos off of Flix for editing so that I can try putting subtitles on the ones I do?

If you are using firefox, then this extension, DownloadHelper at  http://www.downloadhelper.net/
allows you to download the flash movie. BTW I see that flix now also allow to add subs in the movie, so may be we can add the subs to the vids already there.

WOW, zelhar, that was excellent!!!  Thank you so much for the work you put into this.  It really was a great video I was hoping to have a translation for.  Every Jew in Israel should see this video.

So many great points about Kahanism appealing to the heart of every Jew, and the proof that Rav Kook was mistaken in this machloket.

Vdownloader is even better: http://www.vdownloader.es/index.html
This application allows to download in .avi format from youtube and many other sites, though I'm not sure if FLIX and LL are included.

                                                                                                       בס''ד

Great job, zelhar!

This is fantastic. The only problem is that this is a lot of work and very time-consuming.

For JTFers who want to learn Hebrew, you would learn more if we had lessons on the forum.

But zelhar certainly deserves our gratitude.

אני מאוד מודה לך זלהר. יישר כח!
