A victim in an abduction case usually tries to defend and please his abductor - even for some time after the victim is freed. It is called "Stockholm Syndrome".

      This reminds me somewhat of what Chaim mentioned on a couple of JTF shows back in April, 2005,    regarding the Arab Christians of Lebanon appeasing the Muslims.    Including going to war against Israel.     Eventually welcoming the PLO into Lebanon.    The end result was the Muslims became the majority in Lebanon because of their high birthrate.    They murdered 300,000 Christians in Lebanon's Civil War.     If not for Israel,   all the Christians of Lebanon would have been murdered by the Muslims in Lebanon that they kept trying to appease.

Not exactly shocking news. This has been going on for over a decade, Christians have been harassed and beaten, forced to pay a jizzia (a tax for infidels), had there churches and monastery's defiled and destroyed to the point that Bethlehem, once 80 % Christain is now at 20 %.

But the MSM would never hilight the injustices of Arafat and his demonic spawn, just like they downplayed the slaughtered of Lebanon's Christians in the 80's.

 I do not know you either, or either if it realy is your blog or not (maybe you can be someone else pretending in order to put me down, I dont know).
  But the point is that, the first thing you see in the blog is "the world Union of Progressive 'Judaism' " ... Reform, progressive, reconstructionalist, etc.   And according to Judaism this is not real Judasim, although some of the people their are Jews. I didn't say that you or the person who made the blog is not a Jew, I mean that seeing refom as the first thing on their, automaticaly means that it does not represent Jewish values - although I didn't see the whole site, and realy past that.

Most of what we consider as part of the Islamic world was once part of Byzantine Empire, and was won by the Arabs in a series of wars than spanned the seventh and eigth century. This included Syria, Egypt, North Africa, Israel and reached as far as Sciliy.

It was at this time that the Semitic populations, mainly Phoenicians, Assyrians, Maronites, Aramaeans and Copts were converted and mixed with their Arab conquerers.
