I watched nearly all lectures of Rabbi Mizrachi on Thora anytime.

He is using this word hundreds of times in the meaning of livelihood and income. Is the usage right?

I would like to have 1, but not right now. This is something I would want to do when I am older (like 30 years old or so), I would like to have a son but I don't get to choose.

I like the expression and all stories of Mizrachi around parnassa. The moral stories are the best.

I.e. the story about the evil husband, who made his wife cry everyday and G-d's punishment for him, by taking him everyday something from his parnassa away.

Or the town that god destroyed completely, because he couldn't punish them by taking away their parnassa - because all of it was stolen and so He had to go to the next level of punishment.

Or the story of the poor Rabbi and the car-salesman or or or

Every lection where he deals with parnassa is more interesting than every movie I ever saw.

correct english is How MANY, not how much.

The expression is.

How many children? 1,2,3,4
How much butter, a little, alot e.t.c.

so in this case, it's How many.

English isn't Pheasant's first language.

2 children per adult female are not enough to maintain the population because unfortunately less than 100% of the offspring reach maturity and beget their own children.

regarding the option of not many children because of one having "small parnassa".. And the context is how many children you want to have.

Since many here don't speak hebrew, they might wonder what you're referring to!

And by the way.
If you're writing english with a hebrew word. Then the only hebrew is that word.

English has a wider more specific vocabulary, a better expression would be modest livelyhood..
so, modest parnassa.

Small parnassa , might work in hebrew, because hebrew has very general words.

I've heard somebody who had spent years in israel, come to america and think of the concept of a road, not remember the english word, and say "artery"!!! He was referring to a large road..
What we might call in britain, a main road, that should be clear to americans too. In america, they might call it a super highway or something, I think they call roads highways. British can be more generic(not general, but, more compatible!)
