You know, the Left would like to turn almost anything now into a hate crime. Do you think we could get the Dems in Congress to include US servicemen and women in their next piece of hate crime legislation? Imagine if some right-of-center folks had spat all over a LGBT parade.

How many U.S. servicemen in Iraq have been tried and convicted of imaginary "war crimes"? Do the names Steven Green, John Jodka, Lynndie England, etc. ring any bells?

How many politicians have beaten their chest by denouncing the "torture" of Iraqis? How many times have you heard "waterboarding" dragged out as a campaign issue?

My husband got spit on at the airport in LAX when he came home from Vietnam dressed in his USMC uniform.
He was lucky, one of his Marine buddies got shot by one of the antiwar protesters who were hanging around the
airport to "welcome" home the troops.

It's sadly very hip to call soldiers "baby-killers". Just look at Vietnam. Those poor boys back then didn't even have a choice--they were drafted. At least the establishment today pays lip-service to supporting the troops (i.e. promo discounts on buying cars, etc.)
