Shocking reports are surfacing that John Edwards has a love child. The alleged mistress who was first reported in October reportedly was pregnant and went into hiding, and later gave birth.
After issuing a denial, the National Enquirer apparently followed Edwards and mistress around until they scored today. Edwards was seen leaving Rielle Hunter’s hotel room where she had brought the baby. He stayed until the wee hours of the morning when he was confronted by reporters. Edwards reportedly ran away and hid in a hotel bathroom.
Shocked to see a reporter, and without saying anything, Edwards ran up the stairs leading from the hotel basement to the lobby. But, spotting a photographer, he doubled back into the basement. As he emerged from the stairwell, reporter Butterfield questioned him about his hookup with Rielle.
Edwards did not answer and then ran into a nearby restroom. He stayed inside for about 15 minutes, refusing to answer questions from the NATIONAL ENQUIRER about what he was doing in the hotel. A group of hotel security men eventually escorted him from the men’s room, while preventing the NATIONAL ENQUIRER reporters from following him out of the hotel.
By all means read the earlier National Enquirer Edwards story which broke the news in 2007,and see the pregnancy photos they published. Or read the story here.
The name of the woman allegedly having an affair with John Edwards should have been a campaign secret, but others identified the suspect as Rielle Hunter, formerly known as Lisa Druck. Whomever, she was reportedly in hiding with her flowering tummy unavailable for comment, if we are to believe the rumor.
One hopes that any pregnant woman has proper medical attention because far too many women are lacking basic medical care in this country. We can finally understand why a lawyer would be constantly pitching taxpayer funded health care. Edward’s campaign pitch may have been an attempt to shirk his financial responsibilities.
Rielle Hunter was a campaign worker reportedly paid $114,000 to make web commercials touting his virtues. Take all of this with a grain of salt until (and if) the story breaks in the major media.
