Poll: Dark-Horse VP Possibilities for Obama
« on: August 21, 2008, 11:08:16 AM »
Like my McCain poll, this poll focuses on the lesser-known and less-considered names that Obama might pick for his running mate--people who aren't likely to be selected, but who we can't rule out. I am excluding Hillary, because she is one of the bigger names.

Brief analysis of these possibilities:

Sen. Joe Lieberman: An obvious choice to try to get the "moderate" and Jewish vote (considering many of the latter have an inkling that Obama is an anti-Semite).

Jesse Jackson (ys"vz): Not a wise choice, but if Obama sees this election as in-the-bag for him and gets too cocky, not something we can totally rule out. I doubt he would pick him though, as he really has already cornered the black racist vote all by himself.

Al Sharpton (ys"vz): See comments for Jackson.

Jimmy Carter (ys"vz): Not a bad choice, even if he is pushing 90. It would be a balance of youth and age/experience. Will help him get the leftist "Christian" vote.

CF, Obama wants to win! Why would he choose any of those controversial figures?!  He's not that stupid!
If someone says something bad about you, say something nice about them. That way, both of you would be lying.

He may not be that stupid, but he is arrogant ......Obama's arrogance should be enough to cost him the election.
If Obama is elected, I see this as an extension of 9/11. A Muslim President will not benefit our Country in a post 9/11 world.

Might be arrogant? I see you have doubts about his arrogance.

Pruneface Lieberman is not controversial. In fact, he's one of the least partisan of all politicians out there.  :o

Dude... count to ten, relax, punch a punching bag, something...

Anyhow, Lieberman ran in 2000 against George W. Bush, even though his "best friend" McCain was supporting George W. I didn't say it was super-likely that he would pick Pruneface, just not impossible, and not a bad choice for him. Obama is wilier than we are giving him credit for, and this beast might surprise us all.

If Obama wins then I will conclude that the majority of Americans have lost it completely.
