What do you think of this saying?
« on: September 17, 2008, 10:06:59 PM »
I used to think this was nonsense, but now I see some truth to it.

"If by 30 you were never a liberal, then you have no heart.  If after 30 you remain a liberal, then you have no brain."

While I looked into some liberal ideas I was never really a liberal, so does that mean I have no heart? I've always been really conservative.

It was in my early thirties that I began shifting politically and socially to the right.

The mere fact that you even looked into liberal ideas (whether or not you accepted them) suggests to me that you are a compassionate person, with a good heart.

Seeing Chaim speak on public television is what started the shift for me.

Same here.  Listening to Chaim and to Rabbi Kahane (z"l) caused me to doubt some of my previously held beliefs.

I try to be objective and choose what makes the most sense both from a standpoint of evidence and what seems right to me. That's why I'm a conservative :)

I was a liberal until I noticed on left-wing forums everyone hated Jews and Israel including liberal Jews.  I also then  listened to Savage and Mr Chiam and I am now very conservative.

Thankfully,  my Father taught me at a very young age of the evils of the hideous Democrat Party and liberalism in general.    Over the last several months ( I'm in my mid 40's ) ,   Chaim /  JTF has reinforced this.
"Israel's leaders seem to be more afraid of Obama than they are of G-d. Now we're getting to the real root of the problem. Secular politics won't save Israel. Denying the divine nature of the Jewish State has brought Israel neither stability nor peace. When that changes Israel will finally be blessed with both in abundance"-----------NormanF   ( Posted on Israel Matzav's Blog )

Being a liberal is simply a sign of being brainwashed or stupid.  Some remain that way,  others wake up and join those of us who know what is going on.

depends what you mean by liberal...if you mean today's liberal, the statement is wrong..if you mean yesterday's liberal or today's republican, maybe.
If someone says something bad about you, say something nice about them. That way, both of you would be lying.

Glad you found out about JTF!
Turkey must get out of NATO. NATO must get out of Kosovo-Serbia. Croats must get out of Crajina. All muslims must get out of Christian and Jewish land. Turks must get out of Cyprus. Turks must get out of "Istanbul". "Palestinians" must get out of Israel. Israel must become independent from USA.

Liberalism is homogenized Socialism.

Look at Karl Marx, he spent most of his day in a library chair in London daydreaming about living in some fantasy land utopia.
