An armed gang led by murderers Donnel Carty and Delano Brown has been jailed after a campaign of 150 robberies.
The Kensal Green Gang stabbed, punched and kicked their victims during eight months of robberies, including numerous attacks on London Underground trains.
Described as a “pack of animals”, six of them will be sentenced at Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court in March.
Carty, 19, and Brown, 18, stabbed City lawyer Tom ap Rhys Pryce to death during a January 2006 mugging.
Commuters were wounded in the neck, chest and legs and threatened with death while being robbed.
Gang members threatened one female victim with rape at gunpoint unless she surrendered her valuables.
Robbery guide
Jurors heard details of 32 assaults on London Underground trains, when items including iPods, mobile phones, watches and cash were stolen.
Police said the gang was responsible for up to 70 attacks on the Underground, most of them in north west London. Property worth thousands of pounds was stolen.
The gang compiled a robbery guide to Underground stations, found in the bedroom of one of the members.
Stations were rated according to their police presence and the likelihood that victims would resist.
The Kensal Green Gang’s attacks culminated in the murder of 31-year-old Mr ap Rhys Pryce at Kensal Green Tube station in north west London.
He was stabbed repeatedly as Carty and Brown robbed him of his mobile phone, Oyster travel card and £20 in cash.
Carty and Brown were jailed for life for his killing at the Old Bailey in December 2006.
