The issue of Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria is much heard of. Any normal Jew understands that these regions are essentials for a viable Jewish state. And it is widely understood that the Israel's ruling elite readiness to cease this Jewish land is disgusting.
But it seems much less attention is paid to the danger Jerusalem is exposed to. I mean not only so-called "East Jerusalem" but also the western sector of the capital.
Even if the false concept of "two capitals for two peoples" was true, the Israeli government should have intensively developed the western part of the city. Build new neighborhoods, industrial zones and so on. No such thing is done in the last 10 years. As a result, despite the very high birth rate among Jerusalem Jews, the number of Jews rises very slowly. The young people do not see any opportunity in this city and leave it. Beause no new neighborhoods are built, the real estate prices rise constantly. Today they reached such a level that even most of the Haredim who traditonally cling to Jerusalem cannot afford buying even a small flat - and leave it also. Today Arabs constitute one third of the city population, and their percent is constantly rising.
Brothers, I begin to suspect that an attempt is made to marginalize the whole Jerusalem, not only the parts that were liberated after the Six Day 1967 war. To make a dirty and overpopulated place that only a freak wants to live in. And then to hand all of this "medieval ghetto" to Arabs.
Something should be done to save our capital. Even Ben Gurion understood that if Jerusalem is lost, everything is lost.
