Vatican thanks Muslims for returning G-d to Europe

Published:  11.28.08, 15:11 / Israel News

A senior Vatican cardinal has thanked Muslims for bringing G-d back into the public sphere in Europe. Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, head of the Catholic Church's department for interfaith contacts, said religion was now talked and written about more than ever before in today's Europe.

"It's thanks to the Muslims," he said in a speech printed in Friday's L'Osservatore Romano, the official daily of the Vatican. "Muslims, having become a significant minority in Europe, were the ones who demanded space for G-d in society." (Reuters)

I can easily believe some hair brained Cardinal made a statement like this since the RCC has developed a policy of bending over backwards to accommodate all the muzzies flocking into Europe. The site posted however seems very bias against the RCC church the links posted are just to crazy to take at face value.

If you read this page for any amount of time you will start to thinking the Pope is sending the Vatican pidgins to all points of the globe to spy on the unsuspecting. We now have a half black muzzy going into the most powerful seat in the world here in the U.S and most folks could not care less. The horse is out of the barn for Europe and the church knows it. Let's see if we can still get the barn doors closed here in America before its completely to late.

Is there no common sense left in society anymore?????? It's no wonder I left the Catholic Church, never saw such a bunch of hypocrites in my entire life, as there. No offense to PJC! He is a rare breed for sure.

It truly IS up to the PEOPLE to take back our country, I am so sick of the politicians acting like "world leaders" instead of what we elect them for, to work for us! If only they were ALL up for election at the same time, we could really send a message and get them all out of there at once.

Thank you, Vatikan, for this great statement.  :::D

The Vatican has long had a too-cozy relationship with Islam.  In my opinion, Catholicism and Islam co-existed in the years following Turkey's last push into Europe about 400 to 500 years ago, by establishing a philosophy like two major corporations seeking to quietly agree on dividing a market.  Now, Islam wants the whole pie, and Catholicism cannot grasp why the old hands-off arrangement is no longer working.

If you want to point fingers at recent Vatican leadership, you can start with John Paul 'The Great', who visited a mosque in Syria and kissed a copy of the Koran.
