Obama picks Leon Panetta to head CIA

WASHINGTON – Two Democratic officials say President-elect Barack Obama has chosen former Clinton White House chief of staff Leon Panetta to run the CIA. Panetta was a surprise pick for the post, with no experience in the intelligence world. An Obama transition official and another Democrat disclosed his nomination on a condition of anonymity since it was not yet public.

Panetta was director of the Office of Management and Budget and a longtime congressman from California.

He served on the Iraq Study Group, a bipartisan panel that released a report at the end of 2006 with dozens of recommendations for the reversing course in the Iraq war.

Panetta currently directs with his wife Sylvia the Leon & Sylvia Panetta Institute for Public Policy, based at California State University, Monterey Bay a university he helped establish on the site of the former U.S. Army base, Fort Ord.

Another Obama cabinet post filled by someone with absolutely no experience and no clue about how to accomplish the job they are given. This entire Obama administration is full of cronies and neophytes who may just be dangerous to American interests.

The Democraps hate the CIA and putting someone like Panetta in charge of it is more or less the first step in killing it off. The CIA and the Pentagon had better get ready for some lean times. I have a bad feeling that America is soon going to be in great danger.

This appointment was done very carefully to cover up for Bill Richardson stepping down from the Commerce Secretary job.  They announced Bill Richardson's resignation on Sunday, a day when many journalists are off, and then announced the Panetta appointment on Monday.  The media was more than happy to play into this game. 

The Bill Richardson resignation is a scandal and the media has brushed over it like some minor sports story!  Don't be fooled by this political maneuver!!!!!
Also, it's great that Panetta has 0 intelligence experience.  I guess Obama thinks we need another 9-11 again.
