My Father is a lifelong member of the JDL a lifelong gun owner he has supported both Democrats and Republicans. He has voted only for Democrats for President since 1976 with the exception of 2000. My mother has never voted for a Republican. My Brother and Aunt are Liberal. Don't know where it comes from.

I will repeat my plea that everyone maintain good relation with their father and their mother. It is an important mitzvah which really stresses every single person born into the world. When I was growing up I had many problems with my parents and yet I am now very close to both my father and my mother. I have been able to bring them back to religion. It feels good to be on good relations with your parents even when there are still issues.

You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities

My parents are politicly rigtwingers although my mother is more socialy "liberal" than my father. Thanks G-d not  "far right wing people who are a little nuts" types.
Jeremiah 8:11-17

11 They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. Peace, peace, they say, when there is no peace.

12 Are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when they are punished, says the LORD.

13 'I will take away their harvest, declares the LORD. There will be no grapes on the vine. There will be no figs on the tree, and their leaves will wither. What I have given them will be taken from them.'

14 Why are we sitting here? Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities and perish there! For the LORD our God has doomed us to perish and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against him.

15 We hoped for peace but no good has come, for a time of healing but there was only terror.

16 The snorting of the enemy's horses is heard from Dan; at the neighing of their stallions the whole land trembles. They have come to devour the land and everything in it, the city and all who live there.

17 See, I will send venomous snakes among you, vipers that cannot be charmed, and they will bite you, declares the LORD.

I was left wing myself (more of a conservative democrat) about 10 years ago.  The only thing I'm still a bit soft on is the environment but not in a global warming crazy way.  I had an Indian friend who I talked with and he was very conservative and introduced me to right wing radio.  I was hooked and once the 2000 election happened I started to turn. The Muzzie "intifada" of 2000 and the USS Cole got me very riled up against the left and 9-11 was the final straw.  I had to end friendships with people who said that WW2 was America's fault or women who were bisexual.  I couldn't deal with them anymore.  I still have friends who are to the left but I never talk politics and they are conservative on Israel and black crime.  They changed their views on those things over the years too.  I have a very small family now but they are 100% right wing and turned from liberal Republicans to strong conservatives and are thinking of leaving the USA because of Obama.

Where would they go if they left the USA? I wouldn't know where to run to.

Probably Oz, NZ or Chile.

I think you have to have some kind of special skills to go to Australia or New Zealand, and I think they're also suffering immigration problems, at least Australia is.

I'm not sure about Chile because I'd have to learn a new language to live there and I'm not sure if I could fit into that kind of culture because it'd be so different from American culture.

I would say Australia is by FAR the best option... since the culture is similar.  YES... they have an immigration problem as well... but thats impossible to get away from.... and the Muslim population is definitely growing.

New Zealand is nice as well... but the Maori population is MUCH larger than the Austro-Aboriginal population as a percentage.  But the Maoris are more tolerable people than the Abos... but there are 10x as many of them.

Chile is by far the best in terms of its economy in S. America... but again... the language.  Argentina and Uruguay are the 'whitest' but they are ALSO suffering from immigration.

My family..or for the most part, my parents are right wing and agree with most of the Kahanist message...even though they aren't activists.  My wife's family are middle of the road, but generally right wingish with some left wing leanings genearally find with most Israeli Jews.

Their PM is now a lefty.. BUT    their parliament is  right enough that they blocked an attempt at a stimulus package. (which was 1/30th the size of ours)

They were thinking Australia.  New Zealand has Muslim immigration too but there is no real movement to stop it there. Australia seems to be somewhat resistant to it all.  Also, I have relatives in Australia so it would be easier.  The way things are going, maybe the Pitcairn Islands or Jarvis Island.

If Alaska got independence, I'd think about it.

Australia and Canada seem to be the closest countries to America as far as culture and language goes. I know Canada is super socialist though. I didn't know if Australia was outright socialist or not.

I would rather stay in the USA and fight if at all possible though.

Yes I think it's good if white Australians are standing up for their rights and fighting back against Muslims, but the video was set to Skrewdriver music so it made me wonder just who composed that crowd.

My mother is mostly a real liberal and my father was involved his whole life in the worker union, althrough he became very sucessfull in his company. He went to strike as only one of the management level. I think he acts on conviction.

The thing that mostly astonishes me is, that the executives of his company offered him to work after his pension continuing althrough of his worker union activities. He must have been very good in his job as electrotechnology engeneer.

Now he is seventy and finally retired.

My immediate family consists of moderate Republicans and conservative Democrats who were fiercely anti-Obama during the election. Unfortunately, they appear to be completely won over by him now.  >:(

My whole family is far- right. The only bad thing is that my aunt is pro-choice for rape victims.
