I have had these furry friends all my life, and they are very special creatures, very attuned to their owners, but also very possessive of their owners affections. They really make excellent companions. I was told by my doctor, cats and dogs can also lower our blood pressures because of contentment and Joy.

Hope Princess makes a full recovery, and Happy Birthday.

She is still mad at me cuz I still am giving her medications twice a day...

One of these days she will stop being mad. But she still lets me pet her, so that is good.

UPDATE ON PRINCESS:

I took her back to the vet yesterday, so they could check her hemocrat levels...

The doctor said it is now up to 16 (needs to be in the 30s) it is up from last time, but she said she needs to ask the rest of her team about this because her hemocrat levels are not going up fast enough.....I told her it took me a year and a half to get mine back up (I had anemia pretty bad, had to go to the ER about it).

In the meantime, I'm adding blackstrap molasses to her food....

(it is loaded with iron). Perhaps I should give her a little bit of wine every day?

What does everyone think about the wine idea? It's loaded with iron, too...

Awwwwwww, thanks for the update on Princess! Sounds like you have a ways to go, but she's doing really well! I just tried to find info on giving a cat wine, but nothing came up. Maybe someone else here will know better. Glad to hear how well she's improving Hanna!

Hanna,

I'm so happy that Princess is getting better.

I am sorry that I can not offer you any advise about giving wine to her; I own and have always owned dogs. With the exception of a turtle that I saved his life. So, he's stuck with me now.

But, what I can do is keep both you and Princess in my prayers.....
