I saw this in the morning.

Sascha is out there and I mean way out there.

He's got a lot of guts to do the things he does and he is unapologetic.

If it makes him happy, good for him.

I don't think Ron Paul is not going to forget this prank for a very long time.

I am surprised he can still get away with this. I would have thought that by now, everyone knows all his characters, having watched the Ali G show. I must say that Bruno happens to be my favorite.

And, by the way, even though I am not a great fan of Ron Paul (because of his hostility to Israel; otherwise, I agree with many of his positions), I don't think it's so courageous of Sacha Baron-Cohen to make fun of someone who is already a favorite liberal scapegoat. I would much rather see him take on someone like Baraka Hussein Osama. That would have been really courageous, if you ask me. And probably a lot funnier. Can you imagine?

What is there to like about RP? He is completely disgusting...

No, not completely. I support his isolationism, his patriotism, his Constitutionalism, and his firm opposition to the evil globalist movement. He is certainly wrong about Israel.

Isolationism is not a valid national policy and it is impossible to remain isolated in todays world. I don't share RP or your desire for America to isolate itself in a world like we have today. RE: a global conspiracy... I don't see it and think that our existing corporate system is the best economic system in the world. Sure there are areas which need to be looked at but in all my years {40+} I have always managed to have a job and support my family. I fear how RP would destroy our system the same way Kuchinich would ruin America. Also what has RP done which can be considered patriotic?

Ron Paul is not a "Constitutionalist." He just talks about the Constitution to give legitimacy to his insane views.

BTW, Sacha is very funny... BUT!!!!  He is P.C. and somewhat LEFTIST!!

Watch Borat... Borat is from MUSLIM Kazhakstan and he blames the Jews for everything and shows a Kazak hometown where the preschool has all the kids learning to be Terrorists...  BUT!!!!!!!!!!

he says in the film he and his town are NOT Muslim... he's from some made-up religion that follows the Eagle.   Why does he do this???  He has no problem poking fun at Christianity and Judaism... but why does he cover-up for Islam?

Switzerland is NOT FISCALLY isolationist.  Its actually MORE open than most developed countries as far as trade.  It has some great attributes like being tough on immigration...  and it has very strong pro-gun ownership laws.

However, its decision to be politically neutral is stupid and destructive.   If anything... their position on trading with anyone helps fund terrorist nations... even moreso than WE do.

Just to prove my point about Switzerland..

Its ranked 9th on the economic Freedom Index.   Isolationism would make its score MUCH lower.

http://www.heritage.org/Index/Ranking.aspx

BTW... America used to do be on the top of this list... But thanks to our slide towards socialism... we have dropped a spot every year (Currently at 6th)

I don't know whether there is a conspiracy or whether a conspiracy by a small but very powerful group would be enough to create global, historical trends. So I would say there is a number of factors colluding in such a way as to create a shift towards globalism and grate migration of peoples. Whether this trend was engineered by a crtain group or not, the said group is definitely the one to have benefitted from the trend and to have contributed a lot to its development. Chaim also said that the most evil force of our times are the globalists and the financial elite. He might have repeated it again in the last program. Or it was in the program before this.

I am a nationalist and isolationist. This is the way of the Bible. G-d gave each nation its corner of the world - they are like different organs of the body. The heart should not interfere with the kidney. Everyone has its place and function. They should stay out of each other terrritory and business. they may form alliances for pragmatic reasons. And they should all support the existence of Israel in its G-d given borders, because it says so in the Bible.

He didnt reverse it... he just substituted Islam for a 'made up' religion.... and NOTHING else in the movie was substituted.  Its such an obvious omition and theres nothing funny about it.  It was to cover his A**.

He is very leftist, unfortunately. However, he is still quite funny. The point of Borat, as I understand it, is to make fun at our own meta-awareness of our own gaffes, social awakwardness, ignorance, and hyper-self-consciousness. His jokes are very funny and cringe-inducing because they work on projection. His total outrageousness awakens us to the outrageousness of our own semi-conscious, politically incorrect thoughts. We are projecting ourselves into our own worst nightmare of complete embarrassment and making fools of ourselves. He is not making fun of Kazakhs or uneducated rednecks. He is making fun of the way we think. It's very existential. But, at the same time, he IS laughing at ignorant people. And I don't like his choice of too easy targets.

Find his song on you tube: Throw a Jew down the well. Hysterical!

It is my belief that Sacha Baron Cohen is a brilliant comedian and satirist.  His mocking of anti-semites, and backwards, stupid and ignorant people is extremely clever and hysterical.  In short, he has a genius comedy I.Q.

Again Im not arguing that he isn't funny.  I've watched Borat several times... its one of my favorite recent comedies.  BUT!!!!   I am telling you... his choice to substitute a made up religion for Islam isnt by chance, and it isnt for comedy reasons.... its for P.C. reasons.

In contrast,  South Park NEVER attempts to be P.C. to please the leftists.   It has been relentless against all sides.  I think that takes MORE guts than Sacha.

OK, maybe you are right. I would be much more impressed if he chose a CAIR representative instead of Ron Paul as a target for his humor.
