JTF California Meetup
« on: April 19, 2009, 07:48:01 PM »
Shalom,

I'd like to plan out a JTF California gettogether in the Los Angeles area, like the official JTF meetings that are held with Chaim and Lisa in NYC. Please comment here or PM me if interested. Also, if any of you have right-wing, pro-Israel friends, feel free to speak on their behalf and/or interest them as well.

SerbAvenger

PS: I'd like to know what happened to Dox (Elizabeth), HuntingMuslims, and Briann, three of the people I'd like to attend.

Awesome!

First New York, now California.  Let's all have regular JTF get togethers wherever there are JTF people.

I am in Metro Atlanta - North Georgia area as well. I know of someone else here from Canton GA. I don't feel it would be appropriate for me to say who but I will notify him of this thread.

A friend of mine works for Coke and he says that there is a kosher formula and is actually the original formula. I think he said it is made with cane sugar or something like that.

The cola with sugar does taste much better. That's one reason I love Mexican sodas. They taste great not like the American sodas at all which are bland by comparison. Plus the Mexican sodas have better flavors. I especially like their Strawberry flavored soda and the Sangria sodas are nice too.

I already told C.F. in private message but Scriabin wanted me to post it in the open that he's interested in coming. I talked to him on Zootube.

That could be true because I remember the pepsi with an orange cap is kosher

Regular Coke is always kosher.  However it's not necessarily kosher for Passover.  The reason is because it contains high fructose corn syrup.  During Passover, observant Jews don't eat a lot of things, along with bread.  Legumes and soy products are off limits, as well as anything with corn, or pasta, or anything that can be used as a leavening agent.

That's great Serb Avenger! I hope you have a good turnout!

Okay, regular Pepsi and Coke are both Kosher, but not Kosher for Passover because they're sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. Pepsi and Coke make a different type of soda sweetened with sugar specifically for the Pesach holiday.

No!  Don't do that!

We don't want pictures of members getting into the wrong hands.

First, I'd like to see a list of the JTFers who live around Los Angeles.

Next, all who are interested need to give their best free days and hours.

A get together for the SO CA forum members would be great. I would love to meet my fellow JTF members.
I hope my husband will come along too.

About Coke a cola ....there is an old chinese remedy for the common cold. You take one can of coke a cola and boil it in a saucepan and then you add freshly grated ginger root to the boiled coke and let it steep for 3 minutes. Strain the hot beverage and drink for relief from the common cold symptoms.
