NYPD Detective Breaks His Silence on Kahane and the WTC

   A New York Police Department detective has broken his silence about the connection between Rabbi Meir Kahane’s murderer and the terrorists who destroyed the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center. 


Political activist Rabbi Meir Kahane was murdered by an Egyptian-born al-Qaeda terrorist after he delivered a speech at a Manhattan event in 1990 -- but because no one actually saw al-Sayed Nuseir pull the trigger, he was acquitted of the crime and was instead convicted on a lesser charge of possession of an illegal weapon. Three years later, Kahane’s murderer helped lead the terror cell which attacked the World Trade Center in 1993.

At the time, the theory that Kahane’s murder had been part of a terror conspiracy was discounted by federal investigators and NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Borelli sidestepped questions about the assassin's motive. But Detective John Molelli knew better, having been the first to find and examine the papers in Nuseir's rented house in Cliffside New Jersey .

Molleli found and closely examined boxes of notebooks and other papers written in Arabic, complete with diagrams that revealed the existence of a terrorist cell operating in the New Jersey – New York area. The papers included plans to attack a number of targets in New York City, including the World Trade Center. Police found photos of the Twin Towers, the Empire State Building and the Washington Monument. They found manuals on how to make bombs. They also found written materials promoting terror attacks on American soil.

He broke his silence about the evidence he found and its link to the World Trade Center attacks this year, the fifth since the Twin Towers were completely destroyed in a terror attack that rocked the world.

According to a program broadcast on Israel’s Channel 2 TV, the evidence was ignored because Kahane was the victim in the case. Kahane was considered a troublemaker who promoted an unpopular view that Arabs who lived in Israeli territory should be encouraged to move out of the country.

The evidence was quickly removed to the offices of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and was largely ignored until the 1993 terror attack on the Twin Towers. Six people died and 100 were injured in the bombing. In the wake of the attack, the boxes that Molelli had discovered in Nuseir's apartment and which had been confiscated by the FBI were finally opened and closely examined, and the Arabic was translated.

Nuseir was later convicted as a co-conspirator of Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman for the 1993 bombing, as well as conspiracy to attack New York landmarks and assassinate U.S. politicians.

Both men were sentenced to life in prison without parole, plus 15 years. It was only after that trial that Nuseir was also convicted of murdering Kahane as part of the “seditious conspiracy.”Nuseir continued to manage the affairs of the al-Qaeda terror cell that continued to operate in the U.S. and on September 11, 2001 succeeded in completing the job it attempted in 1993, the destruction of the World Trade Center.

Let us not forget what was the first thing that the Bush administration
did immediately following the September 11 attack:  The administration
arranged secretly the safe transport of Saudi royals and officials residing
in the U.S. back to Saudi Arabia.

5 years, 5500 lives (3000 civilians, 2500 G.I.s), and $250 billion later, the U.S.
border is still not secure; ports of entry are vulnerable; fifth column American
Muslim organizations and "charities" (most notorious being CAIR) operate
unhindered, and are accorded not only the status of legitimate entities but
receive privileged treatment lest, God forbid, the government hurts their
delicate Muslim sensitivities; and our fearless, supposedly born-again "crusader",
cowboy and his crony mouthpieces still promote the ludicrously naive, if not
outright disingenuous, view that Islam is a religion of peace, hijacked by a tiny
minority of extremists who misunderstand its peaceful teachings, and who
identify with the "militant" interpretations because of economic disadvantage,
lack of opportunity, and lack of "freedom."  (Never mind that when Muslims
were given the opportunity to exercise "freedom" in legal, internationally-
supervised elections, whose results were uncontested, in Gaza, afghanistan
and Iraq they essentially elected to relinquish this short-lived freedom in
favor of an authentic Islamic governance.

Occasionally, the brave "crusader" cowboy would toss a bone to his disappointed
conservative base in the form of a strongly-worded, albeit devoid of meaning,
statement which involves the use of intentionally misleading terms such as
"Islamofascism" and "radical Islam" (Islam is fascist and "radical" by definition,
as prescribed in the Qur'an and Hadith; any negative qualifier preceding or following
"Islam" is automatically redundant and misleadingly suggests that there exists an
Islam that is moderate or non-fascist, and that Islam can be reformed---a view held
by some misguided and misinformed so-called conservatives and Middle East scholars,
such as Daniel Pipes, but a view that is patently false nonetheless).

If there is one lesson America should have learned, it is this:  Next time, listen to JTF!

O'Neill supposedly was checking on Al-Qaeda from 1999 until the summer of 01.  I'm not sure if he actually listened to Chaim though. 

O'Neill ended up being re-assigned to a new job at the WTC about a month before 9/11 so he ended up being killed in the attack;
