A public school teacher has been reinstated after being fired for his conservative views.
As OneNewsNow previously reported, 19-year teaching veteran Tim Latham lost his job as a history and U.S. government teacher at a Kansas high school. According to Latham, school officials at Lawrence High School did not renew his contract because he refused to conform and did not fit in. Officials also questioned a website that Latham hosted and paid for as being too patriotic.
Latham filed a grievance with the school system and sought to be reinstated. After considering the grievance, the school superintendent stated that there were "inconsistencies in the evaluation process" and that "Mr. Latham's teaching contract with the District should, and will be continued...."
He was represented by the Stegall law firm and, according to the firm, "with this ruling, Mr. Latham has been fully vindicated." Latham says he is pleased with the outcome and looks forward to teaching at Lawrence High School next fall.
