As of now, Roger Goodell hasn't cleared Michael Vick to play in the 2009 regular season. Despite this, Goodell made a mistake by even opening up the possibility that Vick will be able to play in the 2009 regular season. At the very least, Vick's suspension should have automatically continued until after the 2009 season ended.

The NFL obviously has a lot of problems with crime. The player Donte Stallworth was suspended today for this upcoming season. He ran over and killed a pedestrian while he was driving while drunk. I think he's facing manslaughter charges.

Donte' Stallworth only received a 30 day prison sentence. On top of that, he only had to serve 24 days. While I think Roger Goodell made a mistake with the way he handled the Michael Vick case, Goodell handled the situation with Stallworth as well as could realistically be expected as a result of his ultra lenient prison sentence:

So it's fine to create a thread about football but not baseball?

The NFL has way more problems with crimes than the other professional sports leagues. Interestingly enough, there are a lot of black players in the NFL. I believe that the number of blacks in the NFL is comparable to the number of blacks in the NBA.

   The thread that I removed a few days ago was removed because it was a member bragging about his city's baseball team beating another city's team and had nothing to do with JTF.
   The reason I removed it was because people are here are from different geographic areas and I didn't want it to create senseless fighting.
   This is a religious and political forum and not a sports forum. You are welcome to expose or defend any professional sport that you choose as long as you present something that can be intelligently discussed. Whether Team A or Team B scores in any type of game doesn't fit in to our mission unless it is a game to raise funds for JTF and JTF makes money every time someone scores.

And I can understand why you are against us talking about sports, but this is also a sports thread. Just because it's about a dog-fighting shvartze chalaria makes it fine to post about? So if I want to discuss the evil in sports that's alright, but I can't discuss the good? Maybe there are people here that hate the Eagles, or like the Eagles and think it was a good signing, so this whole thread might be bad?
