                                                                                                                                                       בס''ד

Former Governor Mike Huckabee is against Israel giving up any land, against an independent Arab Nazi state in Judea and Samaria, and in favor of Jewish settlement throughout the Land of Israel.

That is a genuinely pro-Israel position. None of the other candidates have taken a pro-Israel position. Sarah Palin supported creating an independent Hamas terror state last year - which is an anti-Israel position. I hope she changes, but if she continues with her current position, then she is not a friend of Israel.

Facts are facts. Only Huckabee is taking the appropriate position. And I do believe that it is because of his Christian faith.

Great news! It's so nice to know Israel has such great friend

What do you make of the statement by Huckabee that segregation doesn't work?

I think this statement indicates that he doesn't have an adequate understanding of the problems in Israel. The wall which separates the Israelis from the Fakestines is a good thing.

You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities

I don't know what he was referring to.

But on all key issues, Huckabee's positions are excellent. He is not only going against Hussein Obama, he is going against the position of the Republican establishment as well. In fact, Huckabee is going against the position of the pathetic Israeli government when he says he supports the hilltop outposts and opposes Israel giving up any land. Huckabee calls Judea and Samaria "the Jewish homeland", and says that instead of pressuring Israel on settlements, everyone should be concentrating on Iran. Can you imagine if we had an American president with these types of policies?

Ok, now I read his statement on segregation. Even on this issue, Huckabee was trying to defend Jews moving into majority Arab areas by saying that segregation doesn't work. His intention is again to defend the Jewish right to move anywhere in the land of Israel.

I am convinced that for Israel, Huckabee is the best candidate. I thought so in 2008 as well.

And if Huckabee is good to Israel and makes American policy pro-Israel, that will be good for the United States because G-d will bless America if America is pro-Israel.

I really believe that Huckabee would be a good president of the United States.

The problem is that it is very difficult for Huckabee to get the Republican nomination. The Republican establishment despises Huckabee because he is a Baptist minister. And many key primary states, like New Hampshire and California, are downright hostile to evangelical Christians. So I don't know if he can get the nomination.

I think that I have taken the statement out of context. When I first read the story at INN it appeared as if he was saying that the segregation which the wall would impose would not work... But I think that he didn't mean it like this...

I agree that Huckabee may be shaping up to be a very good ally of Israel and maybe a good candidate for the next president.

There is another problem, Chaim. Many evangelical Christians themselves have become self-hating. For instance, in the Pacific Northwest, if I am not mistaken over half of under-30 evangelicals voted for Barack Hussein Osama.

Oh, Chaim, you are so correct on this issue.  I know this to be true.  As a righteous Christian man, this former pastor, knows that the world will only be safe if Israel is safe, if the Jewish people are supported.  In other words he knows his Bible, and no matter what flack he will get from the pathetic milk toast republicans, I believe Mike will stand his ground.

And yes, Bonesfan, you are absolutely right.  There are many evangelical Christians, and many black evangelical Christians voted for Obama due to race alone.  They overlooked abortion, Israel, you name it, even the fact that he was a socialist, and probably a Muslim because he promised to their hero and give them stuff, basically.

Many true evangelicals, Bible believing, Israel loving and supportive Christians, knew the evil and the danger of this man.  However, some did drink the koolaid.  It is a tragedy in our faith, and I say this with long history as an evangelical, that there are many evangelicals who do not actually understanding the Tanach, and the warnings of G-d, and the truth of G-d's Word, they are sorely lacking.  I have left churches who did not have a clue, not a clue as to what was going on.  Teachings are watered down, the Scriptures are not taught, the history is not taught, in other words, the truth is not to be found in many churches.  Herein lies the problem.

They have bought into the culture of America, the media, the ways of living, instead of the faith that they have been raised in.  Sound familiar???  When the majority of Christians says, well maybe abortion is okay.  We have a problem.  When the majority of Christians think there are many ways to G-d, there is a huge problem.  That alone is insane for any Christian to believe.  There is only one G-d, period.

However, forgive my rant, and yes, the media has made cowards out of many Christians who forgot to the read the Bible, and know their own faith.  It is a sign of the times, but I still believe and have hope, and pray.  My church is small, but we love Israel and support the Jewish people, and pray for Israel weekly.  So there is hope and there are many more who do support Israel, we just do not make the news.  LOL

I think that when Huckabee spoke about segregation, he just wanted to call the enemies of Israel the name they themselves label on the Jewish state. He was beating them by their own weapon. I can also say that persecution of the Jews in Judea and Samaria is racist model  in which the Jews play the roles of n*ggers.

Chaim    regarding Mike Huckabee,    my thought process is very much along the lines of Bonesfan and others who have major doubts about Huckabee.       The thread link from the discussion that Bonesfan started on November 20,  2008 is an illustration why.

In addition,    the info that RationalThought110 provided back on October 14,  2007,    is something I recommend everyone to read:

http://jtf.org/forum_english/index.php/topic,9356.30.html

My biggest concern about Mike Huckabee is he isn't tough enough.     At times he talks tough but eventually a politically correct side of him emerges.       While Huckabee is clearly a far better alternative than Barack Hussein Obama when it comes to the Iran issue,      when push comes to shove its far from a given that Huckabee will do what's necessary when it comes to Iran and if other similar situations come about.         Part of the problem with Huckabee might be he's too nice.     Sometimes,   he's kind to the cruel,    which of course can lead to dangerous ramifications.

Another example of Mike Huckabee's leniency is the Wayne Dumond case when the Governor Huckabee played a major role in making it possible for this rapist to be freed on parole.      The end result was beyond tragic:

http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NTcyMTM5YzRiMzVjMjA3MGEwMjUwM2Y3NGJiMzM1YWY=

While I would support Mike Huckabee over Mitt Romney   (  I completely agree with your positions on Romney  )  and agree that Huckabee is good on some issues,     he seems to be a very flawed candidate and leader.

"Israel's leaders seem to be more afraid of Obama than they are of G-d. Now we're getting to the real root of the problem. Secular politics won't save Israel. Denying the divine nature of the Jewish State has brought Israel neither stability nor peace. When that changes Israel will finally be blessed with both in abundance"-----------NormanF   ( Posted on Israel Matzav's Blog )

Chaim as much as I respect you.  I still think the only real candidate we have to take us out of the Obama nightmare and is also very pro Israel is Sarah Palin.  Huckabee in all fairness is very soft on a lot of areas and it is something like that that will turn away people.  I agree with Bonesfan and eb22 on this.  We need a real solid leader.  And regarding Huckabee, I rather see Palin.  There is a reason why the left and establishment are trying to bash her non stop they are so scared of her.

I believe Huckabee is far more pro-Israel than Sarah Palin.

With all due respect for Sarah Palin, I think that most of what she knows about the Middle East conflict was learned in the past year.  A common problem that I have found with Evangelicals is that they have trouble defending and supporting Israel on a secular level, and only know how to defend it to other Christians.

The problem is, that if someone does not believe in G-d, these arguments fall on deaf ears.  This is incredibly unfortunate, because Evangelicals are by far the best friends that Jews have in the United States.

Also, I remember Huckabee talking about stopping immigration from terror-supporting countries (ie. Muslim ones), and I thought this was one of the smartest ideas I have heard come out of a politicians mouth.

Whatever you think of Huckabee you have to admit that the statements he made today were bold and really put him into the center of media attention. It is about time that a mainstream leader said what needed to be said.

Chaim, while I agree with you I think the problem is the Jews not the Gentiles in this case.  It is awfully hard for a non Jewish candidate to take a position that is not even being supported by the Israelis.  The last four Prime Ministers have openly and explicitly stated favoring a Palestinian State.  If this continues as is, Huckabee will be pilloried as a nut, for demanding something for the Jews that not even the Jews are asking for.  He will look like a fool and it will not help him in the election.  You might even see him backpedal on his position if he sees a real chance to win.

We need to change first and then demand support for a strong position.
We all need to pray for Barack Obama, may the Lord provide him a safe move back to Chicago in January 2,013.

Somehow, I think better of this man, who always has a twinkle in his eye.  Yes, he is gentle and kind, and even respectful, but that is typical of a Southern man, I know I was raised in the deep south, and it is just part of the demeanor of a Southern gentleman, especially of a Southern Baptist pastor.  Don't let that fool you.  Many Southerners have a steel rod in them, a huge one that runs very deep.  I do.  People meet me and think I am just a nice, sweet lady.  I treat everyone with respect, but my personal beliefs, and my morality, which come from the Bible, and my absolute convictions cannot be changed.  I am very focused and nothing can change my mind over certain issues.

I worked myself to the bone doing all I could for Palin during the last campaign, and even managed to make connection with Sean Hannity's assistant, and received emails from Glenn Beck, after I sent him a Youtube which he played on the air against Obama.  Hannity's used one Youtube I sent his assistant after I talked to her about it, on a special he did about Obama.  I am not someone to be messed with, but on the outside rather demure, polite and respectful.  I know that Huckabee has put himself out there, but you know what, I believe his convictions are far more important to him that the republicans or anyone else.  I believe he knows who he answers to in the end.  He is not a stupid man.  I hope the MSM is carrying any of this.
I might be wrong but I pray not!  How about a Huckabee and Palin ticket?  Woohoo, my dream ticket!

Can someone tell me what Senator Lieberman's stance is on all of this?  I must admit I have not a clue, and I know with all the well-informed people on here, someone can enlighten me.
