What to eat/drink before the fast and after the fast
Harzel:
It is important to drink alot during the day to saturate the body with fluids.

I certainly agree with this... One of the biggest strains is the dehydration due to the fact that we cannot drink liquids during the fast. I did drink a lot of water, and stopped drinking caffeine products, and this year I did not get the headache I got a couple of years ago...
To break the fast the best thing is to eat only a little at first. After your body accepts the small amount of food then it is better equipped to handle a larger quantity of food. Last night I had a little bit of a stomach ache... I think it may be because I ate some sugary cakes to break the fast. I don't think i will do that again next year..

That's really not a good advice.

Too late. The second the fast ended, that's what I took. Followed by 2 bowls of Life, a tuna sandwich, a salad with french or russian dressing (I forgot which), a piece of cheese lasagna, and a piece of brocoli and cheese quiche (unless it was spinach and cheese). Afew cups of coke and juice in between, plus the Yankee game, and a few smokes, I was all better. Of course I do have a cold, so refuah sheleimah to me.
