Hizbollah Terrorists Operating in NY
« on: November 25, 2009, 03:49:57 PM »
Terrorists are freely operating in America at this time. They are providing material support to Hizbollah from NYC... Through networks of stolen good trade and other illicit operations they can raise money to support Jihadist organizations... Thank goodness this particular cell of ten MuSlime scumbags was busted but it leaves one wondering how many other such groups are operating currently.

(Israelnationalnews.com) United States federal authorities have cracked a ten-person cell, including Americans and Lebanese citizens, organized to provide weapons and funding to the Hizbullah terrorist group in Lebanon.

In a statement released on Tuesday, U.S. security and customs agencies announced that four men have been indicted for conspiring to send weapons from Philadelphia to Hizbullah operatives in Syria, as well as to provide the Iran-backed group with financial support and possibly false passports. The four men and six other people were also charged with transporting stolen goods, trafficking in counterfeit goods, and making false statements to government officials. The statement offered officially released details of the arrests, which became known in part earlier this week.

According to the indictment, the conspirators attempted to raise funds for their project through theft and by selling stolen cellular telephones, laptop computers, Sony Play Station 2 systems and automobiles. The stolen goods, originating in Pennsylvania, were transported to destinations outside the state, including overseas. The indictment revealed that the cell was cracked, in part, thanks to the cooperation of a witness involved in selling stolen items to the accused men.

In addition to the stolen goods, members of the cell were allegedly involved in the purchase and sale of counterfeit name-brand sneakers and clothing. They are also suspected of selling counterfeit United States currency, as well fake passports from the United Kingdom and Canada.

U.S. authorities allege that part of the funds the cell was attempting to raise were to be used for the purchase and delivery of approximately 1,200 Colt M4 carbines to the Hizbullah in Lebanon, by way of Syria. Other monies were apparently to be offered directly to the jihadist movement.

"The allegations contained in this complaint demonstrate how terrorist organizations rely on a variety of underlying criminal activities to fund and arm themselves. I applaud the many agents, analysts, and prosecutors who worked tirelessly to bring about these charges and arrests," said David Kris, Assistant Attorney General for National Security. %ad%

Kris' comments were echoed by U.S. Attorney Michael L. Levy. "These cases show the breadth of criminal activity engaged in by those who oppose us," he said.

FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Janice K. Fedarcyk commented, "Today, through the well-coordinated effort of all involved agencies, a blow has been struck to Hizbullah's efforts to fund its terrorism activities."

The defendants were identified as Hassan Hodroj, Dib Hani Harb and Hasan Antar Karaki from Lebanon, Moussa Ali Hamdan, Hassan El-Najjar, Moustafa Habib Kassem, Alaa Ahmed Mohamed Abouelnaga'a and Maodo Kane from New York, Michael Katz from New Jersey, and Latif Kamel Hazime from Venezuela and Michigan.
