The issue, which I think is legitimate is that some European countries have attempted to outlaw Jewish rituals such as Circumcision and Ritual Slaughter {Schechita} in the past. If legislation against a religion such as Islam succeeds it is not too far down the road till they outlaw Kosher slaughter and circumcision.... I am happy that minarets are banned but given the history of this part of the world the Jews do have a lot to worry about considering this law against Islam.

I dissagree. Islam is NOT a religion. It is a hate-based ideology. This is a step to stop the glorification and institutionalization of a hateful ideology. Unfortunately, liberal fascist leadership refuses to see it this way, but we know its true.
Since many European laws have that ban swastikas, I think its only fair that they start banning other symbols and institutions that promote hate.
Now in America, we have freedom of expression, so it is a different story, but in Europe, they have precedence for banning glorification of hate, so for consistency reasons, I think this is the right move.
