Oprah asked Obama what grade he would give his presidency after the first year. Obama replied, saying a "good solid B+."
Oprah: “What grade would you give yourself, for this year?”
Obama: “Um, good solid B+”
Oprah: “A B+?”
Obama: “I think we have inherited the biggest set of challenges of any president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt. We stabilized the economy, prevented the possibilities of a Great Depression, or a significant financial meltdown. The economy is growing again. We are on our way out of Iraq. I think we’ve got the best possible plan for Afghanistan. We have reset our image around the world. We have achieved an international consensus around the need for Iran and North Korea to disable their nuclear weapons. And, I think that we’re going to pass the most significant piece of social legislation since social security, and that’s health insurance for every America.”
Why does he think that? Well because he inherited such a horrible situation, of course. It's Bush's fault. Haven't you realized that by now?
Obama also stablized the economy, hadn't you heard? Now I'm sure many of you are wondering why 'The One' didn't give himself an 'A'. Well the reason is simple according to Obama. They haven't passed healthcare reform. Do that and Obama will bump his grade up to an A-. I vote we help keep Obama's grade at a B+.
I'd give Obama a D+. Because, as Rush Limbaugh said, if you give him an F, there is no room for it to get worse. And it will get worse.
What grade would you give Obama after his first year?
