Arutz Shevas Tzvi Fishman gives Xmas hell!
« on: December 22, 2009, 08:25:46 PM »
I apologize to those will be offended by my reposting the words of Tzvi Fishman who runs a blog at A7 news website.... But as a Jew who has always felt out of place at Xmas time I totally relate to what Mr Fishman says here. A Jew must never get comfortable living with goyisha 'holidays' which run contrary to the principles of Torah, and incorporate the ways of Pagans into ritual.

Merry Xmas!
Tevet 6, 5770, 23 December 09 04:42
by from "Hollywood to the Holy Land" - Tzvi Fishman

(Israelnationalnews.com) There is no question that we have a lot of problems and challenges facing us in Israel, but at this time of the year, I have to take a time-out from the headlines to thank Hashem for granting me the incomparable blessing of living in His Holy Land, and not in the spiritually polluted dungeons of the Diaspora, where Xmas is being celebrated in all of its insidious force and fake holiness amongst the idol worshippers of Toronto, Monsey, Melbourne, Paris, London, Los Angeles, and wherever else golus Jews are hiding.

Thank G-d that my children have never heard the seductive carols of Xmas, the Silent Nights and Joy to the Worlds, whose poisonous melodies are so powerful that I still remember their verses until this day.

Thank G-d that my children aren’t surrounded my Xmas trees and mangers and Santa Clauses wherever they go. Thank G-d that they don’t confuse the Jewish holidays with all the commercial pre-Xmas hype and sales extravaganzas that mark the birth of the false messiah.

In Israel, if you didn’t get on the bus to Bethlehem, you’d never know it was Xmas. It doesn’t exist. Who needs it? Who Cares? Because, even with all of our problems and challenges, this is the only Jewish country in the world. This is the Holy Land. Mamash! In Monsey, or Borough Park, walk fifty yards in any direction, and you’ll discover a manger. Turn on the TV and Xmas is all you hear. In schools all over America and England and France, Jewish boys are kissing gentile girls under mistletoes and exchanging stockings filled with prophylactics and cocaine.

Thank G-d I’m in Israel. Thank G-d that my children are growing up amongst Jews. Thank G-d I don’t have to get my kids an Xmas tree so they don’t feel left out and different from everyone else. Thank G-d my sons serve in the Israeli army, with all of its failings, rather than growing up to be clean-shaven, steppinfetchits to the goyim.

If you think that’s a small thing, it’s because your brain has been so Xmastized that you think like a goy in your goyisha land with all of those Xmas jingles and church bells in your head.

May Santa’s reindeer take a flying crap on everyone’s Xmas. Peace on earth and goodwill to men.
You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities

That's a good article. I go to a public school. Last year, a girl at my school who is Jewish and was born in Israel was wearing a Santa Claus hat around the time of Christmas. She said that she wants to marry a Christian guy when she grows up so she can celebrate Christmas. That's just one example of why moving from Israel to the galut is a terrible choice.

It also bothered me last year when one of the school singing groups was singing a Christmas song, and they inserted the line "and happy Hannukah" in the middle of the song so they could be "inclusive" since there are a lot of Jews at my school. I didn't like how they were trying to mix our tradition with that nonsense.

By the way, I have no problem with Christians celebrating Christmas if they choose to do so. It's just that Jews should stay away from the Christmas culture.

Certainly... The point of Tzvis posting was to encourage Jews to make Aliyah to Israel, where we don't have to feel 'left-out' or subjected to non-Jewish holidays.

I don't like how he bashes Christmas, though I agree with the message he tries to convey.

Serbs celebrate Christmas on January 7th. I see a lot of Serbian families in the diaspora who buy Christmas trees, put up stockings, pretend there's a Santa Claus, ect.. which has nothing to do with the Serbian/Christian Orthodox Christmas tradition. The Catholic/Protestant Christmas tradition has been so popularized and commercialized that people of different faiths and cultures try to copy or emulate it.

Stay with your tradition and culture.

I notice at around this time of the year how assimilated, non-observant Jews try and make a whole big deal out of Chanukah, like it's our top holiday, which it isn't.  This usually involves them giving each other presents.

Now I have no problem with people celebrating Chanukah.  By all means, light up those candles and make potato pancakes and donuts.  But don't try and make it into something it isn't.  It's usually these same assimilated liberal Jewish people who act all surprised when I tell them I don't give or receive any Chanukah presents.  When well meaning non-Jews ask me about what I'm doing for Channukah, I'll tell them I light candles and that's all.  Of course they're surprised since they assume it's a major holiday of ours.  So I then have to explain how our big holidays are Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Succot and Passover.

And what is really sick are those Jews who bring Chanukah bushes into the house and decorate the house with Chanukah lights {ala Xmas lights}. What terrible damage is done to Jewish Children when they observe such craziness and obvious violation of the Jewish law. These assimilated Jews will no longer be Jewish within a generation because without Jewish tradition and Jewish faith, there is no Jewish people.

It is so sad to see people celebrate Chanukah as if it were the Jewish Xmas. The true meaning of the Holiday of Chanukah is the fight which the Maccabees took up in order to preserve the Jewish heritage. Why do Jews in America so willingly worship at the altar of commercialism and mimicing the avodah zarah of the nations? They obviously have no idea what it means to be Jewish....

I understand why he's glad he's in Israel away from Christmas culture, and that he is encouraging other Jews to move there to be in a more Jewish environment. However I thought it was kind of rotten how he said the reindeer should take a crap on everyone's Christmas. As long as it's not affecting him anymore then why does he want to ruin non-Jews from having a nice holiday?

This is my first Winter in Israrel and I can relate 100% to what he has said. I've always felt leftout however. I never had a Tree in my house and I never put on Green and Red and I never acted as if I had to be a part of that evil culture. Keep in mind I was not religous at the time but I did know my past and how important the foundation of Judiasm is esspeally in my family.
