Because the 2003 Haaretz link is dead. Metzger's relatively minor gaydom might have been left to pass, but now that he warmly kowtows with Arab killers, our gloves are off. I remember Metzger davening in the Adam Hacohen shul in Tel Aviv. Rense is an evil fellow, but his archives are too useful and often the only source.

I would think very easily since he is an employee of the Israeli state.   "Bought and sold" as they say....  You can simply hire a replacement, force a resignation etc etc....

Wonga, if you want to prove that Talmudic dictum, the EJF scandal is certainly another great evidence.  And that involves not just a mediocre pseudo-chief-rabbi like Rabbi Metzger, but there huge amounts of money were funneled to many major gedolim who have remained silent thus far.    We live in an upside-down time.   Rabbi Shternbuch seems to be the only one willing to tell it like it is in that entire matter (and not to mention he has clean hands and never got involved with the proseltyzing crooks).
