English Defence League

Hello everybody,iam a new member from England and i love the layout and the video's of the main JTF website,i was wondering if anybody had heard of an organisation called the English Defence League?
The English Defence League(or EDL as they are often known) organise demonstrations across the United Kingdom protesting against Islamic extemism and are also faithful to Israel and are often seen carrying Israeli flag's and banners stating the slogan: 'We support Israels right to exist'
The EDL recently held a demonstration in support of Geert Wilders showing his film 'Fitna' in The House Of Lords,London and iam happy to say,was a great success.

I would like to ask people to take a look at the website and give me your opinions please,i would feel especially honoured if Chaim Ben Pesach could take a peek and let me know what he thinks!

I have seen the site. However there's something wrong with it. They have a petition to ban Halal slaughter. If Halal is banned, the same could happen with Kashrut.

Sadly, there are a lot of BNP (anti-Semites) supporters and football hooligans in the EDL - their website was designed by a BNP activist.  Worse, their support for Israel seems more designed to irritate and annoy Muslims/socialists than based on any genuine Zionism or love of the Jewish people.  I wish them well in their fight against Islamism and UAF/SWP but hold little hope of them changing and becoming a force for good.

Being a member of the BNP means that one supports Britain in the same manner as being a member of JTF means one supports Israel.

You are wrong to glibly state that BNP = anti-Semitic. I am a member of the BNP, and have been for several years, and my love for Israel is born out of an understanding of injustice and bigotry against a nation for no other reason than envy.

Yes envy, because arabs and all others who hate the Jewish people and the state of Israel are deep down evious of the success and fortitude of Israel.

I stand proudly with my Israeli friends with a statement of loyalty, not some starnge belief that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

There are good and bad people in ALL organisations and ALL walks of life.

BNP = support of Britain and the British.
JTF = support of Israel and the Israelis.

BNP activists in Liverpool have hurled anti-Semitic abuse at a Jewish candidate and sent razor blades to his home.  Typical for the BNP though - in 2003, the BNP actually fielded a candidate in Liverpool who had been jailed for sending razorblades and threatening letters to Jews in the local area.

The BNP pretends to be patriotic, but in reality is a white supremacist group.  I don't deny them their rights to that, but don't expect me to support them or go along with their deceptions.

a white supremacist is someone who believes that people with a specific skin pigmentation, in this case 'white,' are genetically superior to other nations.  whilst the BNP's official position might well be that race is national identity, rather than an explicitly supremacist ideology, a large proportion of their members and activists are violent, anti-Semitic white supremacists.

It does sound like he was quite insane, so in this case I will not try to defend his actions as they can not be defended. My comment was mainly in regards to how often the headlines portray an event in a way to induce a particular reaction instead of giving unbiased information. Its always wise to fully research events from unbiased sources before reaching a conclusion.

Some may be but I don't think that would be considerd a "large" number. I would say most are proabbly like myself and simply disagree with the idea that it is our responsbility to accept racial erosion and deny the inherent interconnected nature of race, culture and national identity.
