Ford Maverick GT concept car- video. Wish Ford really would make this car.

Ford is really building some very nice and reliable cars the 2010 Mustang even with the 6 cyl engine is quite quick and very sporty. I must admit when I saw the Maverick name I sort of cringed a little because I remember driving the older ones and even back then they were nothing to write home about. By today's standards they were like the Model T. Bad steering and poor brakes and even very under powered unless it came with the larger engines. The funny thing is that under the sheet metal  the body was exactly the same one that the Mustangs of the day had. While Mustang was popular the Maverick was only a marginally popular car. For some reason it always seemed to be a car older folks bought. The car in the video looks sharp but they don't show enough of it to get a real picture  of the thing. My guess would be if they actually built it just like in the old days it would share the Mustang body.

I thought that, too.  They didn't show enough of the car.    You're right,  Mavericks weren't good cars.

This is funny... I drove an old Maverick for several years in the 90s....

I have liked my mustangs... I have had 3 Ford Mustangs since 2003...
