Is Sen. Scott Brown going Washington?

On his first Sunday show appearance, the Republican from Massachusetts said President Barack Obama is not so bad after all, and the tea partiers were not the only ones to get the senator elected.

After declining, in several ways, to answer whether the president was leaning toward socialism, Brown said on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that the president is “a good man.”

“He has a good family. He has two wonderful daughters...I recognize that challenge and what that can hold and I respect the office of the president and I’ve always said that he is an American,” Brown said. “I know he cares deeply about our country, but there’s just different priorities.”

About snubbing Sarah Palin at a Boston rally and not attending tea party protests in Washington? Brown said he had a job to do.

"My role now as an elected official is to do my job," Brown said.

After a few months in Washington, Brown said his view of the town has not changed.

"Washington is broken, the perception is correct," he said. "There’s too much partisan politics involved and as I’ve said before, I’ll be the 41st vote when its appropriate and when it deals with issues effecting my state and this country, and I’ll be the 60th vote because we need to get things moving. People are hurting."

This is the first time I have serious doubts about Scott Brown.      I had no problem with him not participating in the Tea Party in Boston.     And while I disagreed with him voting yes on a $ 15 billion jobs bill,   he basically said before the election that there would be times he would vote for Democrat legislation.      What disturbs me is his excessive positive comments about Barack Hussein Obama.       One thing I am convinced of is BHO doesn't care deeply about the United States of America.      Not in the form that the Founders of this country were willing to sacrifice their lives for.

This is the first time I have serious doubts about Scott Brown.     

Your just now having doubts about him.  I have had doubts about Scott Centerfold Brown from day one.

The only reason why I didn't have serious about Scott Brown prior to this is he didn't pretend to be a true Conservative.       


The other thing in the interview that is disturbing is Brown saying that the Tea Partiers weren't the only ones who helped get elected.     That sounds like a shot at the Tea Partiers.

Well Scott Brown a 1000% improvement over the evil animal that haunted that seat for decades. With the voting block he has to contend with back home he needs to play along to the music to some extent. We all knew he was not going to be a strict Conservative. If he votes even as a moderate he will be worth his weight in gold. What he replaced could not have been anymore to the left.

This is why I have given Scott Brown more leeway.     

Yet,  his comments about BHO and also about the Tea Partiers,    which were posted at the beginning of this thread,     are problematic.      Scott Brown is going too far in trying to appeal to Moderates in both parties and Independents.

Brown may prove to be another deceiver.   From now on Republicans need to prove their view and credentials before they are nominated to run.  Charlie Christ is done for if he runs as an Independant!
