Kagan is definitely a "comrade" of Obama. In 1993, while working as a legal consultant for Harvard U., she illegally banned the U.S military from recruiting during the first Gulf War. She said that it was a "moral outrage" for them to recruit there. The case went to the Supreme Court, and even the most liberal justices disagreed with her, and Kagan lost. She also has no experience as a judge, yet Obama is nominating her for the highest court in the land. She is also very secretive about her private life. She is 50, unmarried, and supposedly living with the ex-wife of a former partner of her previous law firm. Of course, in the eyes of the mainstream media, her Lesbianism is not mentioned, and therefore viewed as a plus by the Liberals.
Kagan's Jewishness also allows Obama to portray her as a scapegoat to the general population. The mainstream media is however making a big deal about the fact that there will be 6 Catholics and 3 Jews on the Supreme Court and no Protestants, if Kagan is confirmed. Obama is betting that typical anti-semitism, and perhaps some anti-Catholic sentiment too, will cast the blame on traditional scapegoats, i.e Jews and Catholics, before it reaches him.
