Ask JTF for Sunday, June 20, 2010
« on: June 12, 2010, 07:38:03 PM »
Dear Chaim, I'm finna axe you ah question fo' dis week's axe JTF, have you ever encountered a supposedly "homeless" schvartza begging you for food and or money? Believe or not I had a recent encounter with one at a grocery store. He was on a bicycle. He was begging for food. I told him the food was for me. Why do blacks beg for money/food or whatever all the time? Why can't blacks just get off their lazy tucasess and get themselves a damn job like everybody else. That was my encounter with the Third World. Now tell me yours.

Also please comment on what is recently happening in Kyrgyzstan.

Dear Chaim

Why is it forbidden for Jews to live outside of Israel?

What can Jews who are currently in The Galut learn from The Holocaust?

Is the punishment as bad for Jews that won't return to Israel or a Jew who leaves Israel for another nation?

G-d Bless You, Your Loved Ones and Israel.

Dear Chaim,

What are your thoughts on BP? Do you have any video sites that are in both english and Hebrew I want to upload the JTF video I tried using Flix but it's in Hebrew and not English Do you have a website in mind that supports both? Do you have an African American story for this week one that is from the days of the JDL? I'll be back in July. Great news Jorje15 videos are now going to be displayed in 1080p and will support 3D TVs.

Shalom Chaim,

1: Why are Nazis constantly calling Jew-hating institutions pro-Jewish or Zionistic? What are they hoping to accomplish? For instance, the proud Shoah denier Joseph Sobran (yimach schmo) famously said that "the New York (Nazi) Times ought to change its name to 'Holocaust Update'." Sobran should be on his knees thanking Allah, or Odin, or whatever he worships, for every single day that Goebbelsian tabloids like the New York Nazi Times exist.

(By the way, that other chazir Fag Buchanan [yimach schmo] calls Sobran "the greatest writer of our generation.")

2: I don't want to cause disunity on this forum but I still do not completely trust Huckabee. His record of theologically-inspired leftism is very troubling. Chaim, don't you know of cases where so-called Christians claimed to support G-d's chosen people at one point, but later showed their true colors by remarking that "Jesus loves the Fakestinians" or other such nonsense?

3: You have said that G-d will judge any nation that sanctions homosexuality. But what about Muslim Nazi countries in which homosexuality is officially suppressed, but where it is universally felt that the masculine partner in gay acts is not doing anything wrong? There are probably a lot more practicing homosexuals/bisexuals as a percentage of the population in Muslim Nazi nations than in western states where homosexuality is officially tolerated. Wouldn't G-d judge the Muslim world first then?

Shalom Chaim

Sorry for the numerous questions this week. If you want to spend more time on a couple of them today and have me repost the other two for next time, that's fine.

1. What is Gog and Magog?  What does khazal say about them?

2. The story about Er, Onen, and Judah cohabiting with his daughter-in-law seems to come as an interruption in the Joseph saga between his reunion with his family in Egypt.  Why was this story placed at this point in the Tanach and how is it related to the reunion?

3. If each of these candidates had an equal chance to win the presidency rank the following: Palin, Huckabee, Tancredo, Duncan Hunter, Alan Keyes.

4. I know that normally, we shouldn't vote for Jews when they run for public office in the US or any galut nation.  How bad would a non Jewish candidate have to be to hold your nose to vote for the Jewish candidate.  I know that sometimes you would choose to not vote.  But if you wanted to, how good would that Jewish candidate have to be to outweigh the badness of the non Jewish candidate. Describe his or her goodness that would be the exception.  Give us an example of someone evil and non Jewish that you would always vote against if he or she were running against a Jewish candidate.

5. Have you ever read "The Tipping Point" by Malcom Gladwell.  It is about how trends go viral.  If you haven't read it, I strongly recommend adding it to your readings because I think the phenomenon of tipping points can help this movement grow virally.

Shalom Chaim!

It is always a pleasure to participate in the "Ask JTF" show, I hope you had a great week.

I know our beloved Rabbi Kahane was adamant about Jews being able to defend themselves.  Did Rabbi take martial arts, or self-defense lessons?  If so what martial arts or self-defense styles did he practice?  Did Rabbi Kahane become proficient with firearms?  If so what were his weapons of choice.

Is it true Rabbi Kahane challenged the leader of the US Nazi party to a fist fight and the Nazi chickened out?  I have heard, I think on your program, that the old JDL pulverized the US Nazi organization when they marched into Skokie [I think that was the place]...  I bet that would be a great Zootube clip.  If you have commented on this before would you mind commenting on it again?

If I go to a secular restaurant and order a simple non-dairy non-meat vegetarian salad am I breaking any Kashrut laws?  It seems possible that whatever plate the salad is served on has a very good chance of being used for milk and meat at some point.  Is it possible for a Jew to have anything in a secular restaurant?

When you make Friday night Kiddush do you use wine or grape juice?

Do you think the Moshiach will know he is the Moshiach before he fulfills his prophecy?  Do the Rabbis have anything to say speculating on this matter?

Different Rabbis have different visions of what Moshiach will be like, eg, [from what I understand] Maimonides seems to think that he will be more of a regular human being [who would be an amazing man of course] than supernatural, but many others think Moshiach may have "powers" or may be equipped with the knowledge to pronounce the secret name of God [the tetragrammaton] which could accomplish feats which may be perceived to be supernatural...  do you know what Rabbi Kahane's thoughts of Moshiach's qualities were?  What are your own?

Shalom VeTodah Rabbah, hope you have a great week,

Ari

Dearest Chaim,

I hope that you and the rest of the great members of this great forum had a great week.

My question this week concerns the New York City subway system. Having recently moved back to Queens, I now take the subway every day to commute to work. What a disgrace this operation is! The workers are all subhuman sewerage, ugly minorities of the worst kind - and when they attempt to deliver information, their lack of command of the English language makes it virtually impossible to understand what they're saying. In addition, there are constant schvartza panhandlers, and I can see women on the train nervous as these animals slither by, begging for change to buy alcohol and drugs with. I'd like to criticize them for begging, but I beg as well, except I'm begging for these sick freaks to burn forever in Gehenom.

What can we do about this problem? Do you share my disgust with the NYC subway system?

Lastly, I'm not sure if you have been following the World Cup, but the United States was screwed out of what would have been a game winning goal on Friday. You might ask why? Because the referee was an unqualified affirmative action appointee, a schvartza from the oh so advanced country of Mali, who refused to acknowledge his actions afterwards, the hallmark of true lazy schvartza drek. When will people learn not to trust these satanic fiends?

In closing, Happy Father's Day to you and everyone on the forum. I'm sure there are lots of warm family get togethers in Harlem today, as we all know that there are no illegitimate children or deadbeat dads in the African-American community.

May HaShem continue to bless you and the JTF,
RWG

Dear Chaim,

Do you think we are able to answer why the Holocaust happened?  It is the epitome of evil expressed in the world and an utterly shocking and tragic event.  Can such an immense tragedy and the peak of human barbarity be attributed to God or associated with his Great Name?   Or is it chalked up to God's granting of free will to man in the world?  I have heard some rabbis blame the Reform movement, but I don't understand this approach because so many righteous (including Orthodox) and innocent Jews and even babies were murdered.  Not only that but the reform movement started way earlier, in the mid to late 1800's (pre WWI).   And on the flip side, in the approach of looking for "reasons," the antizionists like Satmar and Naturei Karta blame the zionist movement, which I find even more incorrect and way more far-fetched of an explanation.    On the other hand, one rabbi I am close with explained to me that we should view it as we view all suffering and tragedies.  We can never determine God's reasons, so we don't know why from God's perspective it was done or why He allowed it to happen, but the most we can do is try to learn from the experience and grow from it spiritually despite the pain and suffering.  And this fits with Rabbi Soloveitchik's view of "why" the righteous suffer.   We can never know precisely "why" in this world.

Personally, I view it like the episode with the ancient Egyptians.   Yes we were decreed to go into slavery, but the egyptians exercised free will to harm and oppress us excessively and so were punished.   So to, the exile was harsh and with terrible calamities decreed because of our sins, but the Germans and all their enablers the world over exercised free will to take the horrific abuse to a new level of evil not seen before - and for this they are punished by God.   How do you personally confront this issue, Chaim?

Thank you and God bless you.

Shalom rav Chaim,

Do you think the Charedim practice some  form of  Eugenics ?

As you probably know arranged marriages are the norm there. A careful selective matching process is used to determine eligible couples. The most crucial factors are the personal and family's medical history, and intellectual achievement of the groom judged by his Toranic "ranking" in the Yeshiva world, and of course the lineage of the family (again a sort of ranking by Toranic achievements).

As a result families with known cases of mental illness or suicide have a problem arranging a marriage to their Sons and Daughters. A family with one child who leaves Charedism might face similar problems fixing a marriage to the other siblings.

On the other hand It seems like many of the leading rabbis enjoy good health, exceptional longevity, and of course very high intelligence. The outstanding example is the Litvaks (The most Charedim of all the Chardim)- it seems like their leading rabbis are all advanced  octogenarians, or even centenarians

Do you believe that there was a Muslim connection to the 1995 bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City? If so, why do you think the Clinton Justice department covered up this involvement?

Dear Chaim,

There are alot of people who would love to hear affirmative action stories as I notice they keep asking you for new ones each week.

I was thinking about cutting up the old shows that are found at jtfarchive.org and putting the affirmative action stories in a bunch of separate files so people can hear them easily. Then they won't have to keep asking you for new ones. Do you think this is a worthwhile endeavor?

P.S. your answer last week as to why the Tanakh is not learned as much as it should because it is too zionistic for exile-minded jews to handle was amazing. So very true. However you neglected to mention that quite literally the last verse of the Tanakh is a challenge and command for jews to move to israel. Allow me to quote: 'Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD, the God of heaven, given me; and He hath charged me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whosoever there is among you of all His people--the LORD his God be with him--let him go up.'

Dear Chaim:

Hope all is well.  Here are my comments and questions for the week:

(1) I understand that a new Nazi flotilla is set to sail from Nazi Lebanon and Nazi Iran.  As a junior civil rights activist, I wish to enhance my civil rights credentials by proposing that Israel allow these Nazi boats to reach Gaza, albeit with a slight twist.  I propose that Israeli dolphin submarines launch torpedoes and destroy all of these boats from hell into a million pieces.  Let the explosion be the feeding bell for the sharks to attack!  Preferably, the destruction would take place when the Nazis are 5 or 10 miles from the shore.  Within a few hours, all the boats, albeit in a million pieces, will reach the Gaza shore.  Then any "hungry" Nazi Arabs can pick up the "bio mass" tidbits of shark leftovers.  I hope the Nazi arabs stick this human renderings in a pita and choke on it!!

(2) What is you opinion of the actor impersanario "Jallel Ahmad White"? He is the [censored]-muslim actor who played "Steve Urkel" in the series "Family Matters" from 1989 - 1998?

(3) What ever happened to Ariel Sharon - I find it strange that the Israeli media is silent about this story.  I believe he is still alive and in a vegatative state.   What a miserable state of existance. Is this a punishment from Hashem for his betrayal in Gaza?   Your comments?

All the best,

Nekama

Shalom Chaim,

Do you like Frank Sinatra? What do you think about Sammy Davis Jr.? Why did he convert to Judaism? Was his conversion genuine and if so, was he a good Jew? I've read that Sinatra was close with Jewish and Italian gangsters. Why were there so many Jewish gangsters back then? It seems like from the beginning of the Great Depression up until the end of World War II, the world of organized crime was largely Jewish. There are more famous Jewish gangsters from that time than I could count. Why were there so many? Is it true that Jews play a substantial part in Russian organized crime currently?

Shalom Mr. Ben Pesach,

I love listening to your old shows; while doing such, however, I have repetitively heard two inaccuracies stated by you that I am compelled to respectfully bring to your attention:

(1) Not ALL of the Apostles were Jews. In fact, the Apostle who wrote the plurality of the New Testament, Luke, was a Greek doctor. That being said, you are very right in saying that if it weren't for the Jews there wouldn't be Christianity;

(2) Coffee is not bad for the average human being; it is actually very healthy--for many reasons. The only health drawbacks of coffee surround its acidity, which for those with sensitive stomachs can cause temporary discomfort, and that it stains one's teeth. Study after study has shown the affect of coffee on stimulating the brain and in cancer prevention (esp. prostate cancer) is positive.

Your other health advice is helpful and wise, to say the least.

Thank you sir

Shalom Chaim.

Last week I was talking to some people on the web (They happen to be Atheists and Agnostics) and the topic was about prostitution which I am very against of. But anyways they say that prostitution should be legalized and the whole sex industry in general. So I asked them why should it happen and they said this;

1- People have the right to do what they want in the sex work since it is their own body
2- That prostitution can help people who need extra money like to pay for school
3- It could help the economy and lowers crime and abusement on prostitutes
4- That there are non-sex jobs that are demeaning and terrible for people such as maids who cook and clean for you or people that have to clean toilets, and many other jobs which lets just say you wouldn't be proud of working in, and that if these jobs are legalized when why doesn't that happen with prostitution as well
and other things but I don't want to type the rest here since it will take you very long to read it all.

So anyways, I then responded them back of why prostitution is a terrible thing for people and I tried my best to refute their arguments but they all just laughed off at me because I believe in a G-d and told me that my religion just wants to control people and stuck of what they had said to me before. But the thing is I responded to them in a non-religious view of why I am against it and they still ignored me.

Chaim this is very serious, how can anyone say that prostitution can help people when it is a vile so called career? I mean what they are saying is that if they or even their kids can't pay for College or Universities, or anything else then prostitution isn't a bad idea to help them. Heck some people that I talked to during the online chat are or use to be prostitutes themselves who said that it helped them out a lot (Though I myself talked to some former prostitutes face to face who said to me that it was one of their biggest shame in their lives and that no one should ever have to do this to make money and even if they got payed a lot they still feel ashamed to this day but yet you have people who say it is ok) If I have another chance with chatting to them again, what should I say? Since they don't have faith what is the best non-religious argument that I should say to them? It's really sad that so many people think like this but it is a ugly world after all.

Thank you again Chaim and G-d bless you.

What do you think about this AL Green story. He's a former homeless black guy who won the democratic primary in S.C., I believe. Some say he was planted by the republicans or by someone, since he had to pay a $10,000 registration fee for the election, but nobody knows were he got it. In his interviews he sounds mentally retarded.

Dear Chaim,

Firstly I'm curious to know if you are a fan of soccer, or in particular the World Cup? As you may or may not know, last Friday a match took place b/t the USA soccer team and the team of Slovenia. Long story short, the US would have won with the game by scoring a 3rd goal, except the goal was disallowed by this hideous monkey who was refereeing the game by the name of "Koman Coulibaly". This game, crucial for the US to advance to the next round, has been robbed from them by the likes of this ugly animal who clearly has no clue how to call the game. For the record, he called a foul against a US player when if anything the foul was against 3 different players from Slovenia.

My quesiton is, 1) Do you think this was an "honest mistake" like so many people are accrediting this to?
2) Do you think this animal knew exactly what he was doing? Which is to say, that he was screwing the USA out of a much needed victory, purely because he hates the US and the western world?
3) The referee's birth nation is Mali. Is that relevant in his potential hatred of America?
if you ask my opinion, this is a clear and vicious example of an anti-American taking advantage of his position, and trying to get away with an atrocity (fyi he was making ludicrous calls against the USA the entire game). What is your opinion of this situation, and what should be this referee's punishment in your opinion?

As always Chaim, thank you for your time and hard work, and have a great week. Truly,

DbZ

Shalom brother Chaim,
I try to introduce many people who love Rabbi Meir Kahane ztl to JTF, but they simply wont even begin listen to what you have to say because they don't  believe you. they say things like we never saw him with him , or he made no mention of him , if I show them a pic with this they hesitate, but then scoff at it.
These people very much approve of Kahane message but for some reason for people to listen to you they think you have to be super famous and usually its the people that are more humble about it like yourself.

I don't know what to say to them in the end, I only think they don't listen because you aren't like on every news channel on the air.

1. What do I say to them other then what i have told you

2. What do you say about this.

Thank you for you time.
