I don't really know who that guy is, I am from UK, I thought he was a comedian, like Leno or Letterman? probably not.

Either way, he makes some great points there.  He is entirely right, the media are incapable of intellectually understanding and/or conveying the issue in an appropriate context to their viewers/readers, so they focus on the easy out, they sentimentalise the perceived victim.
The fact that the real victim is Israel here is counter-intuitive, given the disparity of power, but it is true nonetheless.

This is nothing new, Bill Maher defended Israel in the 2006 war with Lebanon



The problem with supporters like Bill Maher is that they only support the secular version of Israel that cannot last.

To Bill Maher's credit he is a liberal who actually can think, because any liberal who can think will realize that Israel is the most secular and liberal country in the Middle East. Therefore, liberals with brains realize it is in their interest to support the secular state of Israel, but due to the insanity of liberals they go along with the Muslims in trying to destroy Israel. In addition, Maher actually knows the history of the region going back to 1948, and brings up the inconsistencies in the so-called Palestinian narrative.

However, Bill Maher brings on a panel that is either anti-Israel or indifferent to Israel, which leads to him being the lone voice on his own show in support of Israel. Maher's audience has already been brainwashed into clapping like seals for anything said that fits the leftist narrative of current world events, so they are confused as to why Maher is supporting Israel. Quite frankly, it is a sad situation that many people today cannot think on their own.

Rachel Maddow, Yimach schema vezithra, is a disgrace to the truly brilliant women that MSNBC should and could have chosen for her position.  This intellectual lightweight has a difficult time presenting any form of logical argument that isn't in the form of a corny joke or one-liner.  I find it hard to even listen to her endless sophism, to which she receives accolades from the morons in her audience.

Maher is a donkey, and I can't stand him -- unless he speaks up for the Israeli's.  And, in case you didn't know, Maher's mother is Jewish.  So maybe some of it rubbed off and maybe he has a soft spot in his heart for the Jewish homeland.

On another note:  It would be one of the greatest days of my life if the Israeli's would take out Ahmadinejahd.  What I would give to see that happen!!
