No problem.  You were close enough to be understood.

No, it was ambiguous..

It could have been Belligerent...

People should attempt to use English words with proper grammar in order to be understood. Sometimes people here are too 'lazy' to correct their spellings even when the spell checker highlights improperly spelled words. If a person wants to appear lazy and ignorant then spelling mistakes are acceptable, but if they expect people to listen to their ideas they should attempt to express them properly, with proper spelling and grammar.

bellegered != Beleaguered
belligered != Belligerent

Because this is what you really mean when you correct people.

Yes, I did say this... But it was not specifically adressed to Zelhar...

I do sometimes get a little frustrated that so many people are willing to hit the send button with posts full of spelling and other errors.

But I don't think I say this is a derogatory way... Im really sorry if this sounded derogatory..

I never said it was.

Not to harp on this topic... But here is a little discussion of the importance of spelling:

You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities

I think he just made a mistake, Muman.  Zelhar is very intelligent and usually types well here.
   He's not one of these serial english-destroyers we sometimes get.
Exactly!

He's not one of these serial english-destroyers we sometimes get.   :o
Yes.  The point of a forum is to discourage people, with poor grammar and spelling, from sharing their thoughts.
Good grammar and spelling are the most essential qualifications to post.  ::)

I'm referring to clowns like ben mizrahi who are too lazy to capitalize "i" (again and again) or too lazy to spell right and it's very obvious when they have misspelling and infantile speech throughout all their writing, all the time.  People like that ARE a nuisance and bring down the quality of the forum.   I'm not saying everybody has to be hemingway, I'm just saying that when it looks like a bunch of 10 year old kids bickering to each other and using "aol speak" it brings the quality down.   I don't think there are any major offenders, ben m was the worst of the worst to the point that it was nearly unbearable.

I think Muman you should have pointed that out a bit more politely, your post seems to be sarcastic and I know that as a second-language English speaker, that this is not the way I would have wanted to be corrected.

But it is good to correct people when they do any kind of mistake, and thus save them from ignorance.

Thank you, I will try to be more understanding...

I have never had any issue with your spelling nor your grammar...

PS: I think I have already told people that one reason I think I am one who corrects others spelling is because my mother was an English teacher in the elementary school system when I was growing up. She wrote several childrens creative writing books used by the school system in the 70s-80s..

I understood what you were trying to say Kahane-Was-Right BT.  I'm sorry for highlighting your post.  I just disagree with Muman's way of correcting people.

I agree with your last post.

Muman - Good teachers don't demean their students in public.  Private message might be more appropriate if you feel the need to correct mistakes.

We have a lot of passionate people on this forum. However we have to act in a mature manner. Kahanist liberal and Daniel are not trolls and posters like them with different views make this forum much more interesting and educational. I ask some of the posters here to refrain from name calling with these two and engage in civil debate.

And what to do with person who behave like an idiot (why like). Do you have any suggestions?

Trolls who come to disrupt the forum you can make fun of them until they get kicked out. Regular jtfers who you might disagree with don't call them names. Argue civilly

If someone says something bad about you, say something nice about them. That way, both of you would be lying.

Ok. And how exactly you will argue civilly with person who use only race and skin color as a primer argument? Idiot will and always remain idiot, there is nothing you or me can do about it.
I also want to add that i have hard time talk normaly to a person who spit on the graves of our ww2 heroes, so (as you can see) we have a small problem.
