BAGPUR: Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh has said that all Hindus arrested for their alleged involvement in terror activities across the country are linked to the Rashtriya Swayayamsewak Sangh (RSS).
Turning tables on the Nagpur-headquartered saffron outfit for its observation that 'all Muslims are not terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims', Singh said,"these fundamentalists (RSS) had always labelled Muslims as anti-nationals. All Hindus arrested for terror activities are linked to the RSS."
"They have dubbed Muslims as perpetrators of terror and are now crying foul when some of their own cadre have been arrested in various parts for their alleged terror links," he said addressing a gathering at the Muslim Intellectuals Forum here on Friday.
Singh said even after 63 years of independence, the majority community had failed miserably to earn the confidence of minorities in the country.
Describing the Justice Sachchar Committee report as "authentic and factual reflection of the actual position", Singh said the Congress-led government was making efforts to implement it.
The former Madhya Pradesh chief minister called on Muslims intellectuals to join hands with secular forces to fight against poverty.
Noted film producer-director Mahesh Bhatt, Rashtriya Sahara Urdu editor Dr Aziz Burney, editor Sunil Dang and noted litterateur Sayyad Naushad along with Congress MPs Datta Meghe and Avinash Pande were present on the occasion.
