Good athlete and wrestler. Tremendous entertainer. I don't really know or care about his political agendas or what not. As far as celebrities go, I don't want to know about their personal lives. I was a Mel Gibson admirer as a kid and look how that turned out. Some things are better left not knowing so I can enjoy their entertainment.

But no one thinks it's "real" or a sport.   It's "sports entertainment."  Everyone knows it's scripted, fans included.   Its appeal is of a different kind.

Still, the conditioning and resilience involved in performing at that level year round is very impressive and The Rock was one of the greatest performers (also he had a lot of creativity with his matches).   The outcomes are scripted but it does take creativity to paint a story with the match and keep it exciting with a variety of moves etc.

I never said it was a sin to like wrestling, just that it's a phony "sport"! I acknowledge that on a juvenile level it can be pretty entertaining, but I could never get into it.

I used to be pretty into it, not anymore, but I still retain a great respect for some of the athletes and the greatest performers.

The thing about saying it's phony though is kind of weird to me because no one thinks it's real (except maybe 5 year old's who also believe in santa clause)

Not sure.   Obviously he's not fully observant, but there are aspects of his life where he has stressed his Jewish identity as an important role model for Jewish kids that they shouldn't hide from it or assimilate, and he's proud to be a Jew.   So he's done some good things IMO.
