Obama/Clinton making Massive Blunders in Libya
« on: March 29, 2011, 04:11:30 PM »
This news must rank amongst the greatest examples of stupidity by the Obama administration. A news story recently announced that Mrs Clinton said that very soon America could supply weapons to rebels in Libya. This news comes only days after we learned that there is credible evidence that AL QUEDA in Africa is fighting with the Libyan rebels. So what Mrs Clinton is doing is arming our sworn enemies in AlQueda with the most sophisticated weapons available...

Does anyone else smell the putrid smell coming off this news?

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said at an international conference in London Tuesday that that “there could be a legitimate transfer of arms [to Libyan rebels] if a country were to choose to” do so. She added there no decision has been made to arm forces trying to dislodge Muammar Qaddafi from power.

The Libyan Transitional National Council attending the London conference, chaired by British Foreign Secetary William Hague, asked the international community to arm them. The NATO-led forces are authorized by the United Nations Security Council to impose a no-fly zone in Libya allows military strikes on Qaddafi’s military bases.

"If you look to the reports that you have from the streets of Libya or from the cities of Libya, you will see that our people have very light arms, said the council’s media official Mahmoud Shammam. “You can see that just regular cars are fighting with machine guns. We don't have arms at all; otherwise we [can] finish Gaddafi in a few days."

NATO's forces have been joined by the oil-rich kingdom of the island of Qatar, whose prime minister was the highest-ranking Arab official to attend to the London conference. He said there was no discussion on arming the rebels but added, “Our opinion is that we have to evaluate the air strikes after a while to see if it is effective to protect the people of Libya or not."

In her opening remarks, Secetary Clinton stated, "We have prevented a potential massacre. This coalition military action will continue until Qaddafi fully complies with the terms of [United Nations Security Council Resolution] 1973, ceases his attacks on civilians, pulls his troops back from places they have forcibly entered and allows key services and humanitarian assistance to reach all civilians.

"As the Arab League has said, it is obvious to everyone that Qaddafi has lost the legitimacy to lead. We believe he must go … he will have to make a decision and that decision, so far as we aware, has not yet been made … a political resolution could include him leaving the country."

A U.S. NATO commander does not rule out an Al Qaeda presence in the Libya opposition against Muammar al-Qaddafi.

Adm. James Stavridis says that intelligence has shown "flickers" of potential Al Qaeda in opposition groups but that there is still no detailed picture of rebel groups.

"At this point, I don't have detail sufficient to say there is a significant Al Qaeda presence," Stavridis, who is NATO's Supreme Allied Commander, Europe, and also the commander of U.S. European Command, said during Senate testimony Tuesday.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said after an international conference in London about Libya's future that there is no specific information about rebels linked to the terror group, but that the U.S. is "getting to know" the opposition.

Meanwhile at the War front:

Libya: rebels retreat from Ajdabiya in see-saw battle

The latest swing of the pendulum saw panicked rebel fighters fleeing their fleetingly-held gains in the west of Libya.

Obviously the so-called people's democratic rebels have so far not developed the tactics of war being fought in a narrow strip surrounded by ocean in the north and sand deserts in south.

They can't even bring themselves to call this a war. America is bombing Libyan planes, tanks, artillery and bases but apparently it isn't a war. The shvartza president is really, really reaching here. Now they are going to give weapons to these filthy muslim arab drek. Every picture you see of these "rebels" they're praying to allah. A month after they depose Gaddafi they will be chanting death to America and Israel in the streets and shooting into the sky with these same weapons.

I almost wish China or Russia would send in planes in support of Gaddafi just to see if these European or American morons would shoot them down.
The city isn't what it used to be. It all happened so fast. Everything went to crap. It's like... everyone's sense of morals just disappeared. Bad economy made things worse. Jobs started drying up, then the stores had to shut down. Then a black man was elected president. He was supposed to change things. He didn't. More and more people turned to crime and violence... The town becomes gripped with fear. Dark times, dark times... I am the hero this town needs. I am... The Coon!!!

What strikes me is the casual assumption that it's only a matter of a few days before Gadafi (sp?) is driven from power.  Say what you want about the guy, he's as pesky as Castro.  As an earlier poster noted, Gadafi's hangers-on are reportedly re-gaining some momentum.  You don't last in that part of the world without knowing how to survive.  This could indeed go weeks, maybe months.  Obama, et al, could be forced to bribe Gadafi into leaving, and that would be quite an embarrassment, because certainly Gadafi would insist on taking a stash of $, plus a clean slate on his 'crimes against humanity'.

Samantha Power is involved.  Afrer she called Hillary an animal, she pretended to resign from Obama's campaign but that didn't last long.  Maybe she and Hillary are working together.  Remember her past statements about Israel?

Soros is also believed to be a supporter and financier of groups that were supportive of "democracy" in both Libya and Egypt.  You also know what he thinks of Israel.

Yet, they oppose regime change in Iran. So there's some kind of radical agenda.

Gaddafi is a small fish. The people against him like Obama, Clinton and Soros are far worse and I would like to see Gaddafi win so they look like fools. I hope he delivers retribution to his nazi people.
