A CHILD rapist was disembowelled, stabbed in the eye and had his throat slit in a savage killing by two fellow lags at Ian Huntley's jail.
Evil Mitchell Harrison, 23, was found dead in his cell at high-security HMP Frankland, Durham.
Sources said his killers rammed a home-made knife into his stomach.
He was killed on Saturday morning after inmates allegedly rumbled a plot he had hatched to "glass" prison officers.
The attackers are said to have claimed they acted "out of loyalty to decent screws at Frankland".
Three suspects were arrested. One is believed to have been double killer Nathan Mann. He was jailed for life in 2008 for murdering two patients during a burglary at a Leicester nursing home.
A post mortem revealed Harrison, originally from Wolverhampton, had "multiple injuries". He was jailed for 4½ years in 2008 for raping a 13-year-old girl in Kendal, Cumbria. She had gone to his flat on a promise of money for cigarettes and drink.
Harrison raped her twice before she fled naked.
At the age of 13 he indecently assaulted a seven-year-old girl and at 15 he threatened to rape a 15-year-old classmate.
Harrison's mother Angela Murphy, 45, was not at home in Bedford yesterday. Neighbours said she received "very terrible news".
Police said: "Staff were alerted just after 10am and found a seriously injured prisoner in a cell. He was pronounced dead at the scene."
Frankland houses Soham killer Huntley and al-Qaeda terrorists. Huntley, 37, nearly died after an inmate cut his throat with a razor in March last year.
TWO prisoners, aged 32 and 23, were charged with murder last night. They are due in court today. A third con is no longer a suspect.

A "DANGEROUS" violent offender who escaped from a secure mental hospital was last night being hunted by police with a helicopter and sniffer dogs.
Luke Sparks, 21, was one of three patients who fled St John's House in Palgrave, Norfolk, after a male suffered a head injury. The others were later found.
Sparks — in a grey hoodie, grey shorts and Nike trainers — has links to Sussex and Bristol. Anyone who sees him is urged to dial 999 but not approach him.
