I know a lot of us don't like Savage, but he really shares some of the concerns stated by others in this forum about Newt.

THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL FIELD HAS COME DOWN TO TWO CANDIDATES WHO HAVE A REAL CHANCE OF GETTING THE NOMINATION: NEWT GINGRICH AND MITT ROMNEY. WHILE IT’S TRUE THAT ROMNEY IS NOT AS STRONG A CONSERVATIVE AS MANY WOULD LIKE HIM TO BE, THE MOST PRESSING ISSUE BEFORE AMERICA TODAY IS DEFEATING BARACK OBAMA. AND THAT IS SOMETHING NEWT GINGRICH CANNOT DO. FOR WEEKS ON MY SHOW, I HAVE ENUMERATED THE REASONS WHY GINGRICH CANNOT SUCCEED IN AN ELECTION AGAINST OBAMA:

· WHEN HE WAS SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE, GINGRICH FAILED TO DELIVER ON HIS SO-CALLED CONTRACT WITH AMERICA.
· HE MADE ADS WITH NANCY PELOSI PROMOTING THE FALSE THEORY OF GLOBAL WARMING.
· HE’S IN FAVOR OF AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS.
· HE’S TAKEN HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FROM FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MAC, TWO OF THE MOST CORRUPT FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS IN HISTORY.
· HE’S CHEATED ON TWO WIVES AND LEFT BOTH OF THEM WHILE THEY WERE BOTH SERIOUSLY ILL, WHICH WILL DESTROY HIS CHANCES AMONG FEMALE VOTERS.
· HE CALLED THE REPUBLICAN PLAN TO REFORM MEDICARE “RIGHT WING SOCIAL ENGINEERING.”
· IN A PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE AGAINST OBAMA, REGARDLESS OF HOW WELL HE DOES, ON TELEVISION, HE WILL COME OFF BADLY COMPARED TO OBAMA AND LOOK LIKE NOTHING MORE THAN WHAT HE IS: A FAT, OLD, WHITE MAN.
NEWT GINRICH IS UNELECTABLE. MITT ROMNEY IS THE ONLY CANDIDATE WITH A CHANCE OF DEFEATING BARACK OBAMA, AND THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT THAN THAT FOR FUTURE HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SECURITY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. THEREFORE, I AM OFFERING NEWT GINGRICH ONE MILLION DOLLARS TO DROP OUT OF THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE FOR THE SAKE OF THE NATION.

IF NEWT GINGRICH REALLY LOVES THIS COUNTRY AS MUCH AS HE SAYS HE DOES, IF HE REALLY WANTS WHAT IS BEST FOR AMERICA, HE WILL SET HIS EGO ASIDE, CALL ME, AND ACCEPT MY OFFER. HIS CONTINUED CANDIDACY SPELLS NOTHING BUT RUIN FOR CONSERVATIVES, REPUBLICANS, AND ALL TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOTS. ONE MILLION DOLLARS IN EXCHANGE FOR PRESERVING THE NATION, NEWT. You know if a phony 'right wing' candidate is in support of Amnesty I think he'll have more of a chance of getting it passed than Obama would. I think Amnesty will help to destroy a lot of what is left of Houston and other illegal immigrant dense areas. I think both Romney and Gingrich and in favor of amnesty though aren't they?

Savage is an idiot. First Gingrich did deliver on the Contract for America. In assuming that Romney is going to be a strong candidate he forgets the Mormon issue. Now I have Mormon in laws and would not for one minute hold that against someone, but to Evangelical Christians Mormonism is a weird cult. It might not make them vote for Obama but would cut down on their enthusiasm. I have not listened to Savage for years. I think the guy suffers from psychological problems such as bi polar disorder. One minute he is saying he has nothing against gays then yells at them calling them Sodomites and hoping they die of AIDS. Gingrich may be a flawed candidate but it is not because of anything Savage says.

He lives in San Francisco, was an extreme pro-homosexual leftist before he became a "conservative" radio-show host, and was very close friends with the late openly gay poet Allen Ginsberg. All of these are fact, not speculation.

I'm not saying Savage is a good spokesperson at all, I know he is totally bipolar and hypocritical and at times, a lunatic. However, his concerns on this particular issue are shared by a lot of people, and people need to be aware of this.

Also, calling him gay is a HUGE HUGE stretch.

The majority of those who live in San Francisco are heterosexual... While there may be a higher percentage of gay they are certainly the minority. I don't know anyone who is gay and I live in the bay area...

Since when is having a friend who is gay a crime? What you are providing is a bunch of suspicion without any evidence.

The evil liberal media promoted McCain over Romney because they felt that McCain was a sure lose (which he was, that phrase "my friends" got creepier every time he said it) while maybe they were afraid of Romney actually beating Obama.

I lived in San Francisco for five years. I was single and thin at the time. Those are facts not speculation, yet I was never gay. There are thousands of straight guys who lived in San Francisco who were not terribly different than Savage.

If you live and work in San Francisco you come in contact with gays all the time, restaurants, movies, work, etc.

I once was interviewing for a job and a guy who was an obvious AIDS sufferer interviewed. He shook hands as he left and I immediately went to the bathroom to scrub my hands. I had a discussion with my boss as to whether we should hire him if he was the best candidate. My first answer was no, but over the weekend changed my mind. It turned out he was our second choice. My boss laughed as he told me I did not have to worry, the first choice took the job.

I do not go into the city as much as I did 10 years ago but I have not encountered anyone I suspect of being gay. I do not go to restaurants, nor movies so I don't have to worry about that aspect... Here at work I had a 'Yes on 8' poster in my cube and nobody complained...

Hopefully, they had better social skills, decent manners and less of a constant axe to grind. That guy is so miserable. If he would only shut his trap for a little bit, then maybe he wouldn't be so hated by everyone. People love to listen to someone who is more off the charts than they are because they feel less badly about their own wickedness. Decent people may not agree, may verbalize their disagreement--strongly at times, but they don't act like he does. I was in San Francisco once about 15 years ago and most of the people are met there were straight. Mostly I have heard gay people saying he's gay. I don't know why.

I agree that he knows what he's doing. He's a good entertainer, no doubt. But he does lack certain wisdom. As an example: He had a TV show, but lost it right away after making a politically incorrect statement. I forgot what it was, but that's not the point. The point is this: He couldn't figure out that what he said would get him thrown off the air. There's a disconnect between his brain and his mouth. He's very bright, no question about it. But he lacks common sense and he gets very carried away at times and talks nonsense.

And, of course, he knows full well that this offer is beyond idiotic.
