I don't understand this part:

Shimon and Levi murdered the men of Shechem to avenge the rape of their sister Dinah.  How did they end up harming their brother Joseph?  In what way were they the motivating force behind Joseph being sold to bedouins?

I don't understand this part:

 Rav Kahane HYD says that they had as part of their motivation- fierce anger. They were the 2 brothers who played the biggest role in the sale of Yosef as well. That is why Yakow cursed their anger and not them. He said "cursed be their anger for it is fierce", but within that what he gave to them was a blessing as well in having them dispersed within Israel. Out of Levi came priests and the whole tribe was involved in Holy services (like in the Temple) and the Kohanim, Moshe and Aron were also from Levi. Shimon merited having Torah scholars come from him- especially those who teach Torah to children. With this they were humbled yett very useful and used for Holy purposes.
- This has NOTHING to do with Riskins speech and false connection though.

Whatever you think of 'Rabbi' Riskin, he is not gay. He has been married since the early 60s (to the same woman) and has four grown children
